LAGOS— As the anti-fuel subsidy removal protest enters its fifth day, residents of Lagos State have urged the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, to suspend the strike for two days to allow Nigerians re-stock for the remaining days of the protest.

The residents, however, called on President Goodluck Jonathan to shift ground in the ongoing deregulation policy of the oil sector.

Speaking to Vanguard, they argued that Nigerians, especially petty traders, had spent their income during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, leaving them with little or no cash to spend on foodstuff before the strike.

They added that the two days break was the only means not to further impoverish the low income earners, who rely on daily transactions to meet their daily needs.

Mrs. Blessing, a petty trader in Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos said, “low income earners in the country cannot afford to feed their family easily unless they go out and engage in their business daily.”

Lesson to take home; never camouflage cheap and dark political goals behind ephemeral sentiment.
It is the poor people that are suffering the brunt of the protests, which defeats their "purpose" in every way.

This beaf is stup!dly hypocritical! Now he is standing with the poor huh? Lol.
This same jonathan robot said the first day of strike/protest failed while benin was boiling.
He then later said its the western and northern agenda and then both ph and warri took to the streets even shutting down a port.
He then brought a picture of 10 of his clownish kinsmen  claiming they were protesting pro subsidy removal and the same thread was flooded with pictures of thousands of warri people screaming 'jonathan must go'. Now he is coming to claim compassion for the poor.
We dont know his next stunt. He may tell us the crowd in ojota is a crusade of all the pastors and musicians in Nigeria combined.
He thinks he is having a conversation with his intelligence challenged boss.
Its clear the dimwt knows the president has lost control and on his way to otuoke but despite creating several accounts to support his boss he is at a state of confusion.

Meat! Clearly your case is beyond redemption! A million punches from Adeboye would be a futile effort. Give T.B Joshua trial.
