Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 2:49pm On Oct 08, 2007
I have often found myself saying i would rather have constant water supply than constant electricity. I say this especially after doing some cleaning in the house. I just find myself thanking God for creating water. I find it so useful that i prefer it to having constant light. Not that i prefer to stay in darkness anyway, i equally appreciate electricity. Though my brothers always disagree with me on this. They'll prefer to have constant electricity.

So fellow nairalanders, which wld u prefer to have if u had to choose one? Constant power supply or constant water supply?
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by labiyemmy(m): 2:50pm On Oct 08, 2007
both are essential - there is no preference for one over the other.
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 3:08pm On Oct 08, 2007
ofcourse both are essential and i know that. but just in case u have to pick one over the other, which will it be and why?
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by efuah(f): 3:43pm On Oct 08, 2007
water! because water is life kiss
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by Nobody: 10:43pm On Oct 08, 2007
I'd choose water.

There are substitutes for light - batteries, generators etc.

There's no substitute for water.

No alternative to water? Hmm, what about boreholes? Wells? Rain water? Commercial water tankers? Rivers?
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by Ndipe(m): 12:44am On Oct 09, 2007
Water over light, any time.
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 8:17am On Oct 09, 2007
with water u can have a real clean environment. theres nothing like being in a clean house. it makes me confortable even if there is no light. try having light with no water to clean or cook. it really can be irritating.

The topic said, "constant light", or "constant water". It didn't say the source.

il prefer constant electricity cuz if water is sporadic, it can be stored when it is running to be used for the down times, drinking water can be bought, but the cost of running generator Na il go for constant light

@Siena: Batteries, Generators, etc are not substitutes for light either. They are sources of light, too.

Constant clean and purifed water.  Who wants electricity when you cannot "flush" your "toilets"? undecided

In Naija, since I can get water at a relatively cheaper cost, I would go for constant electricity.
Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by lafile(m): 3:44pm On Oct 10, 2007
If I get the poster correctly, i think the options are Constant Electricity (i.e. PHCN running constantly no outages no falling poles. anytime of the day u switch on the lights it comes on.) versus Constant water (pipe borne water coming into your house at every turn of the tap).

I think i prefer light. water doesnt have to be constant. it can be stored. You can actually store a months supply.
