I'm currently residing in the commercial city of onitsha.here,activities are going on normally.the argument that the governors bought over the people and were in turn bribed by the Government is critically flawed,cos  i can tell you that so far there has not been any government injunction to the people to protest or not to (at least in anambra state )the people are not protesting because for reasons best known to them,they don't want to. And mind you,the easterners were most affected (at least)initially because most were in their home towns when the fuel prices hiked and have to travel back to their towns. As for why they are not protesting, alj_harem and others just put yourselves in their shoes,they are mostly businessmen who depends on their sales to survive.in the white collar jobs,you are sure of your pay at the end of the month-regardless of how long the strike lasts,but it's calamity for the average businessman,it's tragedy if he doesn't work for up to a week. You might not blame the governors of abia and enugu,cos right now the people are enraged against the northerners,and if there were to be riots in places like aba guess who will be the victims?

Nigeria is doomed whether you belief it or not. You can only delay the inevitable. Even if it takes 100 years, one day every o man will go their separate ways.

I think it's just a reaction to the indifference shown by other nigerians over the recent carnage of Igbos by Boko haram.
