I'd urge Nairaland administration to consider a therapy section on Nairaland where people can seek help for their personal issues.

Few days ago, someone came to say that he had masturbation problems and wondered if his sperm tank had run empty, which may hamper his ability to impregnate a woman. Today, someone is saying he is addicted to prostitutes.

These are just symptoms of other underlying issues, which they may or may not be aware of. In most cases, these people suffer from an addiction which they are not aware of. That means it is in his head, which may mean it is a psychological or even psychotic issue.

There is a field of psychiatry called addictology, which studies addictions and prescribes methods of treating addictions.

My simple advice for you is to delete any form of contact that links you up with hook up
2 Set daily goals for yourself with reward (2 days streaks of not carrying OS) . Remember to start small and grow big.
3 Forgive yourself and stop blaming yourself even when you fall into the trap again bcs this is likely to happen. The most important thing is incremental progress e.g. if you have been doing 3x a week and you were able to reduce it to 1X a week, u will later outgrow it.
4. Read your Bible and pray daily and set-up fasting period during the week.
5 Try to get a partner even if it's just a GF
6 Finally get some other things that will put you on your toes. You might join a local football club or even start some challenging projects that will keep you on your toes
