another arrest Boko Haram Biggest Sponsor, Arrested This Morning. Army officers from the 1st Division of Nigerian Army Kaduna working on tip-off stormed and arrested Comrade Nuhu Mohammed a gun-runner and patron of the Islamic terror group, Boko Haram. Comrade Mohammed was caught red-handed arming youths in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State this morning about 1.00am and is detained in an undisclosed Military facility. The supporters of this prominent Nigerian and some youths in the area, engaged the soldiers in a battle to prevent them from making the arrest, before they were subdued. A search on his home, uncovers Rocket launchers, IEDs materials (Bombs materials), soldiers uniforms, army belts, cartridges, pump actions guns and some AK47 assault rifles. Comrade Nuhu Mohammed was a former chairman of petroleum drivers association in Kaduna. The army command are unhappy that some prominent Nigerians are calling to secure the release of Comrade Mohammed.

jonathan has been saying that they know the sponsors of boko haram and i have been saying that boko haram, militants and kidnappers are all the military/thugs arms of pdp. the next thing i expect the president is that these sponsors are members of the cabal that can't be touched therefore, subsidy on security will be removed so that we will be paying security taxes to help stop the corruption that is attached to security volts. it is a shame that we all come here to celebrate what i don't know. where is senator ndume? even if the gov is not on the run, is he no longer under immunity? we are in a country where the poor masses pay for the crimes of the rich. let us concentrate on what we are doing(bringing back fuel price to N65) without been distracted by these sets of criminals called pdp. The army command are unhappy that some prominent Nigerians are calling to secure the release of Comrade Mohammed. @ak47mann, who are the prominent nigerians? are they not the same govs calling for the removal of fuel subsidy? is this not what they need the funds for(sponsoring of those that are killing us? are they not members of the jonathan cabinet and party? the most silly thing i know about nigeria are words like, untouchables, prominent and cabals. i don't trust a jonathan administration that could only jail a terrorist 3 years for killing hundreds or thousands of nigerians and give bail to ndume who run things with the group. |

In this picture it looks like someone is giving a prayer, heads are bowed and eyes shut. Is that correct? This is good news. . . very good news if true and these are not decoys that have been arrested. In fact, great development because the rest are likely to start hiding or detaching from the group for fear of arrest. Something caught my attention in the news report: "Once the evidence is confirmed as incontrovertible, further steps can then be taken to ensure prosecution in line with treason and such charges. Let's not jump for joy everytime we hear that someone is charged for treason. Awolowo was charged for treason on a false accusation and trumped up allegations. If we rejoice in the everyday use of the word treason, pretty soon, political leaders will start getting thrown in jail on treasonable charges for nothing more than voicing opposition to the government. Boko haram has commited grave atrocities and they should face grave penalties. . . however, I wonder if treason will apply to their case. |

“But after interaction with the staff of the Lodge, they were released by the police on bail pending the conclusion of a comprehensive investigation.” Please, who was released: the same suspect or some1 else? If it was d suspect then this gov is indeed a Boko Haram regime! |
Re: Police Arrest Boko Haram Suspect In Borno Gov’s Lodge by Marlboro1: 3:10pm On Jan 15, 2012 |
Why are we even arresting these devils instead of giving them instant justice they have been giving to innocent people. You know nothing happens to them. Ali Ndume came out and Boko Haram got more energized and have killed more people in last 1 month than the last 5 yrs combined. Forget about it. |

is there any crime in Nigeria called TREASON. When a serving governor is using tax payers money to finance terrorism against the tax payer. The problem with Nigeria is that we talk so much and take just little action. Some of these people dont need to be interrogated. If facts about their involvement with terrorism are confirmed, they need to be hanged - plain and simple. |
Re: Police Arrest Boko Haram Suspect In Borno Gov’s Lodge by amor4ce(m): 2:22am On Jan 16, 2012 |
If serving governors have no immunity immunity from charges of treason, then perhaps this is the reason for the SSS wanting to question the governor in question as the intelligence agency would need to have a solid case for a successful prosecution as soon as possible rather than waiting for his term to be over. Any lawyer in the house that is willing to clarify for us whether or not serving governors can be prosecuted for treason? |
