If Nigerians stand up with one voice both Northerner and Southerner, both Muslim and Christian and rally together en massse against Boko Haram and general violence in the country we can achieve PEACE !!

If we stand up in agreement over these important issues , the result is PEACE, our common Enemy cannot defeat unity but division is their playground.

The problem is that when Boko Haram unleash their mayhem we hardly see any protest in the North against these outrageous actions, instead there is a deafening silence.

I suggest that we should open a facebook page titled ' Nigerians against Violence of any sort ' , sign up as many as possible with a genuine representation of all tribes and religions and march to ASO Rock to pledge our unity and disassociation from any and every terrorist group.

We can then set-up up groups akin to Neighbourhood watch in the UK. We will use this tool to report all suspicious behaviour and activity to the nearest police stations. Also we need more CCTVs set up in strategic spots of interest in Nigeria.

This will put fear into the hearts of those supporters and sponsors of terror.

Secondly with regard to change, protesting the fuel subsidy has to be organised more effectively and our point made more succinctly. There are pros and cons of the subsidy removal, we MUST as ONE, hold our government responsible and accountable for the implementation of programmes ASAP that will reduce the adverse impact of this subsidy removal on the lives of Nigerians especially the working class.

What we have now is an incoherent mishmash of ideas, opinions, counter arguments and sometimes childish ascertainments based on incomplete facts.

We need to set up groups, workshops and discussion points to be able to form a body with the integrity and impartiality of a great people.  This body will be our interface with the government to discuss these issues, set up programmes for success and put in place KPIs ( Key performance indicators ) for the intermittent measurement of success.

What we have in Nigeria today is a dearth of fresh ideas or even a willingness to come together as ONE.

Indeed.

Problem is not the common man per se , but the politicians who manipulate the ignorant masses to achieve popularity and vote.

Hence, they will stoop to any level to create a climate of fear and mistrust.

Unfortunately my Igbo people tend to bear the brunt of this silly trend.
