Did he mention the report?

even so? 31 passenger cars for every 1000 nigerias is unlikely to double consumption like that!

hahahaha, pls think deeply,imagine a situatiom whr 1000 passagers travel in 31 passage cars nd wen a family travels in a car. Lets assume there are families of 5s,den there wud b lyk 200 families wit 200cars. Wont this increase pms consumption daily,even in multiple folds?

551 million litres was consumed in March 2011 and 60 billion Naira subsidy was paid. Now let us do the calculation. Multiply 551 million litres by 141 naira landing = N77.691 billion. From this N141 landing cost, Nigerians were already paying N65. Then 551 litres times times N65 = N35.815 billion.
Subsidy = N77.691 billion minus N35.815 = N41.876.
Now, where did the 60 billion they said was paid as subsidy come from?

Wow!!! so simple for you to work out, you're a genius . Don't let your talent go to waste, apply for Dean of Mathematics Faculty, university of lala land.

Here is me thinking GEJ was not ruling Nigeria in 1998, thanks for the info.

NB
My research proves GEJ has been ruling Nigeria since 1960. Please update "your facts"

631 million litres was consumed in April 2011 and N132 billion subsidy was paid. Now let us do the calculation. Multiply 631 million litres by 141 naira landing cost = N88.971 billion. From this N141 landing cost, Nigerians were already paying N65. Then 631 litres times times N65 = N41.015 billion.
Subsidy = N88.971 billion minus N41.015 billion = N47.956 billion.
Now, they told us that N132 billion was paid as subsidy in April.
And our PhD Holder President and the IMF Economics guru are relying on this statistical figure.

no because this is still a very small amount? Although this method of comparison is somewhat odd I can imagine in a city with less passengers and more cars the PMS wont be increasing soo much?

Going by the above figure which i am not opposing for now, the govt agencies were the ones overpaying intentionally.

The good thing is that all these information are coming out to us, what we the public and the media do with them is more important than what the NASS will do about them.

After this futile drama is done, who will probe the legislators about the bloated pay package that they receive?

yeah,dats wat am saying, It wud definately increase Pms consumption. E.g somwhr lyk lagos whr 4 every hauz,u'll see atleast a car in 2011 nd consider wit 2006 whr u can only get a car in evry 3-4 houses. Then d value of dollar in 2006 z lyk 100-120naira wyl in 2011 its 150+, Also d price of crude barrel in world market has tripled. U can expect d subsidy 2b same 4 these yrs,bt d NNPC shud b held responsible 4 its mis-management nd giving of false figures.

VP Sambo - Boko Haram, GEJ - MEND, Fashola and Tinubu - OPC, The fundamental Ideology in Nigerian politics today is rascality, we need to demand a tougher INEC and new ideology and institution based political parties to start springing up in the wake of these strikes and protests to save the future, because there is no hope for us with the status quo. If we do nothing, then will the PDP rig all elections and send Soldiers into the streets to seal our lips.

Keeping mute under oppression is some crime.

More truth will filter out , lets stay tuned. . .let's keep making our dis-pleasures known albeit peacefully

"And who says we'r finished when we've just begun
We are the nation
We are part of this

we are so amazing
That’s the least we shall be
At the heart of the nation changing history

When we have no where else to run to
We have no where else to go
So get out of the way. . . . ."
