So the same govt that cannot report correctly the number of dead nigerians wants us to trust them with fuel subsidy 'savings'? Are these guys these heartless, cold and far from reality?innocent nigerians are dying daily, and a handcuffed boko haram suspect can escape, mastermind of suleja bombers giving N2m bail, family of terrorist giving N100m compensation by a state govt. This enclave is no nation, it's a jungle.

I wonder who changed GEJ's destiny. He is destined to retire with full benefits and a send off party as Deputy Director in the Department of Fisheries in Bayelsa State Government. You made him a president and expect him to rise to the occasion. Impossible . No matter how hard you squeeze , you can't get water out of that rock.

Gej I believe is not the problem here, its some northern element who has sworn to make the Nigerian state ungovernable. Recent events proves this. If you are in Gej's shoes, you may be worse off considering all factors. Let's pray for God to rescue us rather than condemn gej. In a compromised security apparatus, nothing much can be achieved.

Re: State House Press Release On Kano Boko Haram Attack by Nobody: 10:02pm On Jan 21, 2012
untill GEJ realizes that secret assasination is an integral part of governance in a country like ours, then our problem will still be on the rise, we are here calling for investigation and increased military presence, what will happen if your investigation finds out that borno state gvt is the problem we have or some emir is responsible, wht will you do, try him in a court or warn him to stop what he is doing, assasinations are vital ingredient for governance no matter how much it goes against your morals as a president, that is part of your job description

@emyworld

I keep saying GEJ is not up to the job if he believes securities is being compromised what stop him asking the arrested suspected BK haram member be transferred to Calabar as all his crooked predecessors' did. Is GEJ new to Nigeria politics? There are many things GEJ did and say that you can not completely blame his enemies for everything. He is not helping himself, I'm one of those who see reasons with him in this forum after 3 month I change camp and begin to berate him. He is completely inept dam useless.

I think it look bad to us in a civilised world because we can't afford to see human suffering in this way. Since they say the country will not be governable without them being in power we might as well ask all southerners/Christians to move to southern Nigeria until GEJ term expires. In that case we will just glee from the side while they butcher and slutter themselves cause they are animals. Ape Ape Ape Ape Ape grin grin grin grin grin grin

GEJ that could intimidate Lagos protesters with soldiers but he's afraid to face an illetrate and uncivilized sect called Boko Haram. That's not an excuse. Nigeria is bigger than anybody that wants to make the country ungovernable. Civil protest without any lost of properties or life should be allowed in any civil country.

GEJ is the C-in-C. He should use his soldier to fight BH and not unarmed civilians.

Nigerians are no more interested in press releases from the presidency.

Can someone pls inform reuben abati that we are fed up with the same promises?

Its time for action. Real action not film tricks!

Say a prayer for a man who has legs, hands and brain but refuses to use them? Say a prayer for a president who announced to the whole world about a year ago that he knows the people behind the BH carnage but no one except that self acclaimed BH spokesman enjoying himself in sss custody?
I can see that Nigerians have resorted to prayers not because we believe it will work in our case but to further confirm the state of our helplessness.

I think all this has just exposed the otter chaos that exist in Government. Just gives us an insight into the people who claim to serve us.

The problem is that the signs where there for anyone devoid of emotions to see, Goodluck and his cronies were just not up to the job. were we not experiencing high levels of violence before the elections, what did his govement do about it? nothing, we just let ourselves get carried away, believing that mango will suddenly give birth to paw-paw. The country is in real trouble and people need to pull thier fingers out and start working, that is if they understand thier job description
Re: State House Press Release On Kano Boko Haram Attack by emal22: 12:37am On Jan 22, 2012
There are some fools here.
Why wont everybody blame GEJ. Presidency is just in name or grabbing our one billion naira as feeding money.
It is about solutions to practical hard problems. This is why the position is just not for any body, but humans would not listen.
I write from rivers-state. This is not a matter of stupid sentiments or tribal anything. GEJ was on his own when his people sent for him to be the deputy to Alamiesie in Bayelsa. When Alamiese was captured by Obasanjo, GEJ slid in. During the next election GEJ was very happy when he won the pdp primaries to run for the govership. But the same Obasanjo ordered him to be the vice president. He never planned to be the president, but unfortunately he is now the president. The purpose of this narration is that at no time did GEJ offer himself for leadership because he has no such capability. HE WAS ON HIS OWN. CIRCUMSTANCES HAS ALWAYS FORCED HIM TO GLIDE INTO HIGH POSITIONS. BUT LIFE AND CIRCUMSTANCES CAN BE VERY CRUEL AT TIMES BECAUSE THE SAME WAVE THAT TAKES YOU UP WILL PUT YOU UNDER. Now he is trapped. Many of his ministers, advisers etc are multi billionares. THE GREATEST MISTAKE HE MADE WAS TO SHORT-CIRCUIT THE ZONING SYSTEM. He could have been resting now as a statesman. BUT LIFE IS CRUEL. THIS IS WHY AT TIMES IT CAN GIVE YOU MONEY, POWER POSITION ETC, BUT ENSURE YOU DO NOT HAVE REST OR PEACE.

BAD PEOPLE GOOD GOVERNMENT. PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THAT IT IS BAD TO KILL YOUR FELLOW NEIGHBOR WHO HAS GONE TO LOOK FOR DAILY BREAD.
IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW THE PRESIDENT REACT, WE NEED TO PUT A STOP TO THIS RUBBISH.
