A friend of mine told me that you no longer need a share certificate when you buy shares in Nigeria, is that true? |

not yet. there is a proposal and hopefully, actions to make it happen such that when you buy public offers or companies give bonus shares, they credit it directly to shareholders CSCS account. the implication of that is that anybody who buys shares in a company gets an automatic CSCS account if he does not already have one that will remove the necessity for share certificates but as of today 15th october, it has not been implemented |
