US must change their approach b4 fighting another serious war. Conventional war pattern has changed.

They must quickly focus on producing mass cheap war weapons. Like cheap drones and interceptors, more advanced laser detectors, more ICBM and hypersonic missiles.

The Chinese, Iranian, Russians etc have built many cheaper and effective weapons.

If this war stretches to 3 more weeks or more, they will be waisting more than $3 trillion to sustain it.

Their 3 aircraft carriers in the sea can be destroyed in this war if care is not taken. They are just lucky that swarm drones and very fast Chinese anti ship missiles have not yet been launched at them.

Once strategic aim has been achieved, Trump needs to pull out of the war otherwise things will become more uncontrollable.

Now let's address this thing critically and without sentiments.
Two parties are fighting and while one is punching the other heavily, the one being punched keeps throwing sands into the eyes of those watching on the side lines (including his own supporters)
As the punching gets worse, he starts destroying the seats on which the spectators are watching from, saying he's doesn't care who gets hurt, that everybody is surely going down with him if the punching continues.

Why is the US so caring that they are acting as if it's only the US and its supporters that are being affected by the blockage or are the Iranian Islamic regime's supporters getting free oil from Iran?

Why do they think Iran cares about anyone?

You are talking about Iranians IRGC here. They are used to every corners of this strait. Remember, they’ve been planning for this for more than 40yrs. So, any Navy, particularly the US Navy trying to protect this route must put this into consideration..

Donald Trump is deploying 5,000 US marines to the Middle East to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Pete Hegseth, US defence secretary, has approved a request from US Central Command – which oversees American military operations in the region – to deploy part of a Marine Amphibious Ready Group, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and the USS Tripoli, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The USS Tripoli was seen in the Bashi Channel, between Taiwan and the Philippines, on its way to the Middle East on Friday night.

Iran said it was closing the strait shortly after the United States and Israel began their attacks on February 28. Iranian strikes have since hit multiple vessels in the area including oil tankers.

Yesterday US officials reported that Iran had begun laying mines in the Gulf channel, which carries 20 per cent of the world’s oil.

The USS Tripoli was stationed out of Japan and would take around two weeks to reach the Mideast.
