This thread is erroneously titled. Carter Bridge incident did not take place during Nigeria/Biafra civil but before the war started. The officer killed on the Carter Bridge was Major Ekanem, an Ibibio or Annang, who was Nigerian Provost Marshall. He was killed during or after the coup of July 29, 1966 that saw the overthrow of Aguiyi Ironsi. 1 Like |

it is erroneously titled, of all the ikemba said there, to mention the killing of an army officer, as the title, is a disservice to the interview, it should be more like the western region was the genesis of the nigeria's problem says ojukwu. according to the ikemba, they cross carpeted when it was likely that an igbo man was going to win in the western region, not only that, one of their own betrayed their own leader and became a stooge for the north, and apparently they started, and mastered the art of rigging, with the famous bbc quote, " they became pregnant with votes" bros abeg change dat title. rest in peace eze gburu gburu. |
