Yes. This is a serious issue. It points to deep psychological instability. Specifically, these scars are very pronounced and numerous. They resulted from self-harm, which is a sign of serious psychological distress. A person who is struggling in this way can face significant challenges in both professional and romantic relationships. A scar on the body by itself is not a problem. But scars resulting from self-harm can indicate underlying issues that need attention. |

goran3310:The scars on the woman could be tribal scars/marks, done to her as a child rather than something she did to herself. While tattoos are self inflicted scars and fit your description of self harm, yet they are socially acceptable. |

I once saw this on a girl... I no go lie I shock. I was really taken a back. And me I don't scare easily o. They aren't really tribal but spiritual marks for kids that die young (abiku) marine children, spiritual husband or sickness those sort of things. So I won't really call it tribal marks! |

goran3310:What is this grammarian saying? Can't you see that its tribal marks? It could be as a result of early childhood sickness or other tribal related issues. The people to blame are the parents/healers that didn't think of the trauma she will face as she grows into a woman. |

DonEd:In that case, if it’s not about self-harm, she might be acceptable, but I would definitely need some time to adjust to it, personally. |
