My application for Spanish schengen visa was refused on December,29,2011.The only reason given was

4. He has provided evidence that livelihood skills sufficient for all of the intended stay or return to country of origin or residence, or for transit to a third country in which he is certain to be admitted, or not in a position to acquire such means lawfully.

I submitted all relevant documents and my company sponsored me. Please can someone advice me on what to do next. I was given an option to appeal which i did on January 3rd,2012. Till date, i haven't received any reply from them. What should i do now. What suggestions or tips will enable me scale through this hurdle
