Weight loss is a burning issue in the World today, yes that is what i call lifestyle problem. Please read on, Weight Loss Myth #1 "The more you exercise, the better results you'll achieve" While a properly structured exercise program is obviously part of a proper weight loss plan, you definitely don't need to slave away 5-6 days in the gym every week for hours on end. If you go too far overboard you'll place your body into an over-trained state. This will slow down your rate of fat loss, cause you to lose muscle and increase your chances for injury. Weight Loss Myth #2 "As long as you exercise, it doesn't matter what you eat" The plain reality is that around 70-80% of your weight loss success is determined by what you eat, how much you eat and how often you eat. Don't ever underestimate the value of proper nutrition as it is actually far more important than your training program. It doesn't matter how long you spend in the gym or how much effort you put forth on the treadmill, you'll never be able to "out train" a bad diet. Weight Loss Myth #3 "The key to serious weight loss lies in this piece of workout equipment" All of those ridiculous weight loss gizmos you see on the late night infomercials and the fitness magazines will actually take you farther away from your goals rather than closer to them. Without question the most effective tools for weight loss are also the simplest and can be found in virtually any basic gym or used from your own home. All you really need are some basic free weights and your own body weight in order to transform your physique. Weight Loss Myth #4 "You need to starve yourself if you want to burn fat and get into shape" Starving yourself is literally one of the worst things you could possibly do if you want to achieve healthy, permanent weight loss. When you severely restrict your food intake, your body reacts in a defensive way by slowing down your metabolism and holding on to stored fat rather than burning it. The only real way to achieve long lasting weight loss is to burn body fat at a gradual pace in order to keep your body out of "survival mode" and to maintain your lean muscle mass. |
