An Ikeja High Court this morning ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to pay the N25 million damages awarded to popular comic actor, Mr. Babatunde Omidina, a.k.a. Baba Suwe.


Justice Yetunde Idowu ordered that the N25 million should be paid into an interest yielding account within 21 days.

The court gave the order while ruling on an application filed by the NDLEA seeking for the suspension of the payment pending the determination of its appeal case at the Court of Appeal

Thought this has been done by the NDLEA, anyway with a heroin worth N120Million seized from the pakistani drug courier (thank God they did not bungle this one) paying out Baba Suwe should not be an issue again.

It simple. SInce NDLEA is a govt parastatal, the complainant will sue the two parties. But am sure NDLEA will not let it get to that level becuase then heads will have to roll.

Very simple. Since NDLE gets allocation from the Federal Government, the money should be garnished from the source. That is to take it off from their allocation this year and pay to the account of Baba Suwe. They need not argue this with NDLE because all parastatals gets their allocation from the Federal government.

They'll have to cough his Payment up eventually. Maybe not anytime soon because they just might appeal to a higher court and keep stalling till they run out of appeal courts.
