Many of the MLM and HYIP Businesses operating in Nigeria are a complete waste of time, energy and resources
Many Nigerians have sad tales about their involvement in MLM and HYIP in Nigeria
Scam MLM and HYIP exist in many countries of the world. Network Marketing is one of the best business models but has been abused by con artists who use it to defraud people.
There are at least 10 ways to easily detect the scam outfits in the market, no matter how cleverly disguised they are.
The problem is that many Nigerians are gullible, greedy and undiscerning, therefore easily deceived by the con artists and their promises
A discerning Nigerian who can sit down to analyze MLM promises will be able to detect the fraudulent ones before signing up with any.

There are a few legitimate MLM operating in the Nigerian market, not all are scam but many are scam and should be avoided. The key to success in MLM is the ability to know the right company i.e. the legitimate, rewarding ones to do business with, not jumping into anyone you see as Nigerians do.
A MLM company that is focused on the recruitment of persons into the network and pays a recruiter a commission for recruiting others into the network, cannot be a legitimate MLM business to do business with. Many of the MLM businesses that have crashed in Nigeria belong to this group. They are designed to benefit not more than 5% of the investors and eventually crash with the rest 95% frustrated. They have a product which cannot sell well in Nigeria and tell you that the way to make any money and move up in their network is by recruiting people and getting rewarded for that.Beware!
Frustration sets in when a recruit is unable to get new recruits. This happens when the market for new recruits quickly gets saturated as everyone is looking for a recruit who has already been recruited or is not interested.
The MLM business to sign up with is that which focuses on the sales of its products, and recruits sales persons but does not pay any commissions or reward to anyone for recruiting others. It pays commissions based on products sold, not for persons recruited. They have products which sell easily.
For a HYIP known as High Yield Investment Program(a.k.a Hurriedly Yielding Into Poverty), one of the ways to detect them is look for their consistency in fixed returns throughout the life of the investment. HYIP is a financial investment which promises consistent fixed returns throughout the life of the investment. That is a lie because in the real world of finance, there is no such thing as consistent fixed returns in the market. Interest rates always move up and down in the financial market.
The promise of consistent fixed returns is a bait to lure in an undiscerning investor into their scheme. The returns are paid from the monies collected from earlier investors. When the promoters have collected enough money, they vanish or when they are unable to pay newer investors the promised returns, the scheme collapses under its own weight. Most HYIPs do not invest in anything.
There are many other ways and methods to spot scam MLM and HYIP businesses operating in the Nigerian market. Many of them come cleverly disguised as legitimate but are real scam outfits.Having knowledge of the various ways to detect them is essential to avoid falling into the wrong hands.
Many of the fraudulent MLMs that have crashed out usually did so within 5 years of operation.

What exactly is the point you're trying to make? Network marketing has paid my bills in the last 2yrs.

Well said!! however, if there is fake there is certainly original. For example, there is no fake N300 note because there is no original N300 note but there could be fake N100, N200, N500 or N1,000. Original MLM dont promise millions in few days or weeks. Its a step by step process. So if you are the greedy type certainly you can be duped.
So many people worldwide are making money from MLM so i dont see why we Nigerians can benefit from this lifetime passive income legitimately. I am a living testimony to good and lasting income from this.
Mail me and I will show you the type i am doing and still smiling.

The #1 Secret to MLM Success!

There is No Such Thing as Picking the “Right” Company,
But There is Such a Thing as Picking a Company at the Right Time!

The truth is there are some great companies in the network marketing industry with good products and excellent pay plans, but that in and of itself is not the reason to join a particular company, nor will it be the reason you succeed!

Every company is going to tell you they are the best company and have the greatest products and the most lucrative pay plan ever created, and more often than not, it’s usually just hype, especially if its coming from a new, start up company! Granted, the company, its products, and the type of pay plan used are important factors to consider, but “timing” and “positioning” will play a far more important role in your success!

If there are any “secrets” to success in network marketing (MLM), this is one of them, and it’s perhaps the most important one: You should look for a company that is:

1) at least 3-5 years old and

2) is about achieve or has recently achieved $100 million USD in yearly sales.

This is perhaps the #1 strategy for success in network marketing!

Why?

First, if the company is at least 3-5 years old then it has passed the point where 98% of companies fail and it has probably solved its initial growing pains! Remember, 98% of ALL new, grounfloor companies FAIL in their first 2-3 years, regardless of how great they claim their products are, how lucrative their compensation plan appears to be on paper, and/or who owns the company and how much money and experience they have!

This is why you should NEVER get involved with a brand new groundfloor MLM opportunity! You are hoping it beats the odds, and whenever you try to beat such huge odds (98 to 1 against you), you’re virtually guaranteed to fail, unless you get lucky! You’re not that smart or lucky to be able to guess the 1 or 2 new companies out of a 100 that is going to still be in business 3 years later! If you’re going to gamble on your future, you can get better odds than that in a casino, not to mention the fact you’ll have a lot more fun losing your money!

In addition, if they are 3-5 years old, they are old enough that they have not only passed the point where 98% of companies fail and have worked out any initial growing pains, but they are young enough that there is still a legitimate, groundfloor opportunity with them and you could rise through the ranks and stand out as a top leader. (You could get involved with a company that has been 10-15-20-30 years or more, and you’d never have to worry about not getting paid with that company, but chances are even if you succeeded you’d never stand out as you’d be just one of hundreds to thousands of leaders in that company because they’ve been around so long.)

Avoid HYIP schemes especialy the ones that promise u stupendous returns in a few days. One particular one u should avoid is THOMAHOLAD INVESTMENTS LIMITED. Very useless ibo boys scamming people. i tested them wit some small money and they just stopped picking my calls after sometime. a word is enough for the wise

I don't agree with you!

Most people never achieve any success in net.work marketing (MLM), let alone long term success, no
matter how many hours they put in, how much effort they apply, how much they promote, or how much
money they spend in building their business. Unfortunately, after trying several opportunities, they quit,
reaching the conclusion that ne.twork marketing doesn’t work when the outcome might have been
entirely different had they known “The 6Parameters to Pro.fits and Prosperity in Ne.twork Marketing-
How to Put the Odds of Success in Your Favor”
and made one critical decision differently based on
those Parameters!

I have a report on these 6 parameters which could help you make a wise decision concerning MLM.

This is one way to detect if an opportunity is scam. Get to read other people's reviews about them. How do you do that?
Go to google and search "the company+scam" whatever review you get will open your eyes. Hope this helps.

My dear, u didn't put ur axe together before u launch out. Regret is not what you should be saying rather go back n look where u get it wrong. It maybe ur tactics, approach, strategies etc. MLM is good if u knw the rudiments. I wasted over 400k last year in MLM but today, after learning, I know better.

Ignorance is not knowing any better and you end up doing something you shouldn't really do. Ignorance can be corrected with knowledge, information, and experience. Stupidity is knowing better (knowing you shouldn't do something), but you go ahead and do it anyway.

I also did GNL.D and now after knowing more about MLM, I wouldn't get involved with a company with their compen.sation plan. This is not to say they are "bad"
company. They have gre.at products.

Godello, get in touch let me see if I could be of help to you.

My eyes have been opened to some truths about this industry. Some people blew the lid off of one of the industry’s dirty little secrets! If you’re currently in an “old school” company, you’re working harder than you should have to, making considerably less money than you should, and having to wait longer to get paid less! Unless you get lucky, you’re virtually guaranteed to fail in most “old school” companies and don’t even know it because the deck has been stacked against you!

Choose wrong, and you’ll end up working harder to make less and then have to wait longer to get paid! On the other hand, choose right and for the first time you can immediately begin to ea.rn more mon.ey faster and with the least amount of effort-you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to create an above average to extraordinary in.come and within a short period of time!

Your success is NOT going to be based on how great you or a few of your team members are, but rather on the efforts of lots of average people, each doing a little! You need to have a comp.ensation plan that positions both you and them to ea.rn the biggest in.come possible with the least degree of difficulty!

Can I show you one?

The truth about network marketing companies are as follows:

Some have products, while some do not have
It is safer to deal with the one that has products
The strategy adopted by the promoters of this network marketing companies is that they get this products at a very cheap price from the parent companies.
They bring in theses products into nigeria and sell at more than a 100% mark-up. A product that cost them about 100 can be sold at 1000 ie 90% profit.
It is out of this outrageous profits that they pay their distributors bonuses
They also pay royalties to the parent companies
For you to succeed with network marketing, you need to understand their strategies very well. It is not about how much money invested but strategies adopted.
Most importantly, there is always a saturation point. Entrants at this point finds it difficult to scale through.
To me, network marketing is never a long term business.

How can I be successful in my multilevel marketing business?
Just a little paradigm
For every successful business there be a real secret or a unique ways of doing this business particular business. Great men may do the same thing but they do it differently. In multilevel marketing business a lot of people have failed and some flourish in the business. This just about doing it right and adding some spices to the game. Sometimes you have to think outside the box, look how the market is changing. The market is obviously saturated mostly in Nigeria, but some people are still making head way in the business and this has sky rocketed their income beyond their counterpart in the same line of business and the labour market.

I have NEVER put a kobo into MLM and HYIP programs, and don't think I would ever do that. They are all elaborate scams in my opinion.
