The first fruit does belong to God! the amount is your choice!!! you could decide to give everything or you could decide to give some of it, you could decide give a note to a begger or buy him/lunch or cloths or do something generous,  its a way of thanking the Lord for your increase. but it has to be between you and God and you would know how much you want to give in your heart,

I will introduce 'anti-subsidy' seed. Thus sayeth the lord, sow a seed of 100,000 naira as an 'anti-subsidy' seed into the Kingdom and see what the lord will do. Everytime you go to the filling station, the gas meter will automatically default back to the price before subsidy for you. the person selling the fuel will see favour upon you, and sell it to you at pre-subsidy price, somebody shout alleeluyah!!!!

the only reason tithes and offerings were introduced is to present a uniformity in the worshippers. because the lord clearly stated that poor people and rich people should stay away from each other and they have nothing in common. the only thing that can come out of a friendship between a poor and a rich person is disgust, anger and feelings of irritation.

I never said it's wrong to give. What I am saying is it is wrong to coerse and use tricks and schemes to syphone money from gullible people. I give in church only when I have, i give to red cross, I have 2 children in senegal I sponsor through Worldvision, so this is not against giving, it's against con and deceiving people.

So in your bible, God says sow 24 hour miracle seed, financial breakthrough seed, special anointing seed and all these false, deceitful ways of syphonning money from people.

If you want to keep giving your money, it's toally up to you, you deserve to be pimped, hopefully they get all your money, and when you dont have enough to live on and you go to your pastor for help, and he tells you to have faith and sow more seed, then maybe your eyes will open

I was invited on Sunday to a church by a cousin. After the watered down sermon,

pastor: I want everybody to sow a 'special anointing seed'. I was like 'is there an anointing that is ordinary?'

Another one is 'financial breakthrough seed'. My own sister has has been sowing this financial breakthrough seed every month for at least 5 years and she still has no breakthrough, and she has the guts to come ask me for money that she is broke. I just told her no, wait for your breakthrough. I asked her to stop giving away her money to pastor and that its a waste of money and will get her nowhere . But for where!
she will start quoting bible: 'do not be weary in well doing for you shall reap in perfect time'
Ok then, go wait for your perfect time.

Do you guys know of any other 'seeds' and 'offerings'. it seems they just make them up as they go along

You hit the nail on the head. Before my eyes opened, I was just like you. Like 5 years ago I was looking for some one to pay my masters tuition fee, I sowed and sowed seed everywhere, went to Ashimolowo's IGOC conference, sowed and sowed seed, I remember Mike Murdock was preaching that day,  my uncle said to go to the bank and get a loan to pay the fees, I refused ooo, said God will come through, I have sown my seed and the harvest will come in due time (before deadline date to pay tuition).
Omo, deadline came and went, and i was even worse off and could not go to Uni that year. I thank baba God say he opened my eyes, I got a job, saved up for 1 year and paid for the following year for the masters without any 'seed' sowing.

It's like you'r not following from the begining the thread very well. Crossman9 posted the link and i helped converted it to video since the link won't come up as video. I didn't get the video by myself. However, since you wanted me to clarify whether or not these "seed offerings" are right or wrong, I will pull up some stuffs for you from the scriptures.

Free will giving without being under undue pressure I have read in the bible and that is the new testament order.

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7, NIV

The bible is specific when it comes to giving and you can give ANYTHING as long as it freely from your heart. All these other seed names given by man to sow is just not biblical. The "SEED" I also read in the bible is clearly defined by Jesus, the seed is the word of God.

"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Lk 8:11, NIV

Why don't they tell you to "SOW" THE WORD? When it comes to God, Giving means exactly Giving. The seed means the words. But to man, Seed means Money.
