I read u'r in nyanya area, i'm in jikwoyi n my current gynae works at national hospital but consults for saffron hospital only on wkends. So now i'm in a delimma n needs to decide on time. 10x in advance. @all pls which wld u advise for 8weeks scan? Abdominal scan or TVS? Pls I want an option dt's safe for LO n dt won't give me hypertension o biko.lol. Pls I need ur quick response on ds mamas, 10x vry much in advance

Hello Mamas in d ouse, I av been having serious back pain, protruding belly discomfort and sore bum for the past three days. Imagine! I can neither lie down or sit up well either cos of the big belly or back pain, I av been sleeping sitting on the couch since. I complained to my midwive during my last ANC, she seemed not to see anythn wrong in these complaints. Pls mamas advise me on what to do abeg

Pardon the intrusion but what is the plan B for an hospital that you only get to see the consultant on saturdays "only", what happens if there is an urgent need for "specialised" medical attention between mon-fri & he isn't available because he is @ his "primary" base?
You didn't ask for my opinion but I'm advising that you register in a place where you are sure an obgyn is always available, we don't pray for anything untowards but.........

The fact modath pointed out is the reason i'm still skeptical n haven't registered with them for antenatal yet, bt i've been their regular patient since we were ttc n being attended by dt gynae since dh is only free on sundays anyway. I'm registered at National hospital too (nt for antenatal though) bt its too far frm here; jikwoyi, n we'r nt so familiar wt d area to know wch hospitals offer good maternity services. I rily want d best considering dt we ttc'd for awhile bt govt hospitals r nt so close to us here. So u see my dilemma Lol n I rily wish to start ANC nxt week after our 1st scan 2moro mashaAllaah. Pls mamas i rily need all d advice n suggestns I can get o, help a sister. 10x in advance

@ummtwins I jxt registrd last week ooo,d doc gave me date/ apointment of wen I wl cm 4 d ANC nd health talks,I paid 11700,cos of d necessary test,scan nd drugs,dy wil explain everytn to u there if u wish to start,abt gynae workn only weeknds,aint sure abt dat information,mayb u ask dat ur gynae workn in national hosp,if safron hv anada gynae except him,try registryn @ nyanya general hosp too,wen I was contemplatn wch hosp to choose,buh dia respns is dat I shld cm bk 2nd week of may,I can't imagine waitn til 2nd week of may,anyways I ask many mothers arnd my area were dy gave birth to,dy say saffron,dats y I hv confidence 2 register.

So sorry sweerie m, you are welcome,we didn't deliberately ignore your question, its an ommission. You add fersolate to the FA.
Start ANC @ 8wks & you can do a scan at the same time so you can be sure the uterus will be CLEAR to see.

Welcome on board, sori for d delayed response. Folic acid and fersolate is gud and u can start antenatal as soon as u r comfortable wit it. Eat well, fruits, vegetables and lots of fluids. Hope dis helps

Ok. 10x shiller, I appreciate ur help. Wl be seeing d gynae ds wkend wt our 1st scan anyway, so I'll try n clarify that.
