The Nigerian Ambassador to Austria, Ms. Maria Laose, says Nigerians spend more than €50million (About N10billion) annually to purchase lace and embroidery materials from Austria. She said this when she visited the `Vorarlberg Province of Austria’ notable for the manufacture of lace and embroidery materials commonly used by Nigerians for ceremonial and traditional attires, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. “The high patronage by Nigerians of the Vorarlberg textile industry runs into about €50 million annually,” Laoshe said in a statement made available to NAN.
