The office of the governor may look a gold mine for somebody outside the corridor of the administrative settings. The governor is but an ordinary human just like you; he does not possess strange powers other than those found in a normal being. He needs people around him who should form the ‘think-tank’ machinery; and these individuals must be sound in thinking and reasoning. Of course, they are two different things: ‘thinking’ and ‘reasoning’. While ‘thinking’ is a mere bringing out of ideas which may or may not be relevant to problem solving situations, ‘reasoning’ is a careful effort of an individual or group to ensure that analytical approach is adopted in bringing out a coherent idea capable of solving a problem – or giving a lasting solution to a given task or situation. Reasoning may be more technical than mere thinking. Reasoning is more wisdom-related than thinking. What our able governor requires are men of proven integrity; men of wisdom – and wisdom has to do with the word of God. Education has to do with knowledge – and acquisition of knowledge is an academic (educational) process, which when properly applied becomes wisdom. What the governor needs is a machinery that is capable of reflecting the achievement of the government to the grassroots, through effective use of the necessary machinery both of human and materials. Chief T.A. Orji(the Governor of Abia State), may have embarked on numerous meaningful projects in the state, but to effectively carryout these project requires men of proven integrity – men who adopt wisdom in handling given task(effective-task-accomplishment). How do we find these men of integrity? Who are these men? Where do we find them? These questions remain the problem still unsolved, and must be given attention to bring the effort of the Governor to fruition! Ugbaga Ukpai, Aba

'Governance' is a teamwork! That one is a governor of a state does not mean he knows it all. Many activities go on around the state which the governor may not be aware of. Being a governor does not give Chief T.A. Ojri a double head, but same single head. His has been a great misfortune. He has been made to pay dearly for issues he knew nothing or little about. He has been unduly persecuted for faults of others; yet the saying goes that 'uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.' The incident that occurred in the Aba metropolis on the 28th Feb., 2012 is enough evidence that the city carries the greatest bunch of illiterate class of human beings; and it is this pitiable circumstances that Chief T..A. Orji's political adversaries use to flight his seat. Clear picture that there were some unseen hands somewhere sponsoring the dastardly act. These boys(mostly in their earlier twenties) were ready to do mayhem. This was total lawlessness and sheer disrespect to constituted authority. The governor was left alone to face the battle of these drug addicted individuals who can take peanuts to destroy, maim and even kill without recourse or restraint. This was an outright break-down and order, and need be checked.
The governor got adequate representation down the grassroots who should make our youths see reasons to honour the governor as their leader?
The teamwork ideology is the missing link here. Somebody is not doing what he is being paid to do, rather the governor is being painted black for some reasons yet unknown.

I think i agree with you sir in the aspect of everyone being involved in contributing to taking the state to a greater height. the governor cannot do it alone. So he needs competent people to work with. I think that was why he has to reshuffle his cabinet to be able to get the right people that are ready to work. I believe Abia will be great one day

Leadership continues to be the most herculean task of man, especially where the leader has among his cabinet, people of doubtful integrity; people who equally aspire to unseat him. Abia State is a seemingly typical society with above characteristics. There seem to be many black-legs in the cabinet/leadership machinery, thereby making it almost difficult if not impossible to steer the wheel of governance of the state. The governor, Chief T. A. Orji will unavoidably continue to experience deadlocks in trying to reach the people he governs through equitable provision of amenities and infrastructure.. He will continue to receive negative responses from the society even when he spends the last kobo in the coffer to better the lives of the people. The reason is not far-fetched. The society is perhaps not adequately feeling the impact of the government benefits from the person on top - the Governor. This is because there is blockage somewhere along the continuum. Somebody is not doing his own work properly or not doing anything at all. Unless this human blockage is removed, the governor will certainly continue to receive unwarranted criticism. What the Governor requires is nothing but effective monitoring of projects, contracts, assignments, and most importantly, to ensure that the society is properly intimated, enlightened and educated of the government's projects and the sites of such projects - if need be; announce through the media the names of the contractors handling such projects; to follow the project with adequate implementation program. What is happening to the Abia State Governor today has always been the case with great leaders; and unless the issue is adequately addressed, and the right person put at the right place, the efforts of Gov. T. A. Orji will definitely continue to receive little or no kudos. Let us look at the case of Joseph and Pharaoh in the administration of Egyptian kingdom. Equitable result was achieved when Joseph was kept in charge of planning and implementation which saved Egypt from a devastating drought and famine: Gen. 41: 37 - 41. I am however enjoining Abians to be patient with the Governor while he continues to plan out the best way to better the lives of the people of this state, after all he already has many meaningful projects in process
