Munayh: I applied for Charles sturt to study agric and I got this response from them. Please what do you think is the problem. I don’t have an ielt, I work with idp agent for the MSc admission.
Please which agency is swift, seems like IDP is very slow. Is it still possible to secure an admission and a study visa for feb/march session if I should start reapplying from today Hello, you just have to check your application again if you have provided all the next documents. Check ur CV if the study gap is well explained. Is ur age below 35 and ur course of study in ur bachelor is it related to Agric. Thanks |
I have been having difficulties finding a supervisor for my PhD in Australia. It's either they don't respond or the ones available are no longer taking phd students.
Pls any phd student in the house can you help with tips ? Can I apply directly instead of sfinding a supervisor?
My BSc and MSc are in Architecture [/quot]
Try to always send a reminder emails to them if they didn’t reply you, at least weekly. I could remember I emailed a professor up to 4 times within a month and he replied that he saw my email and forget to reply and ask me to go ahead to apply. Also, u can email up to 5-6 supervisors in a sch and about 10 or more sch. make sure ur research areas correspond to what they do. Avoid sending long emails, let ur CV do d talking.
Best of Luck |
Please i just need your opinion, i got a response from a supervisor but no funding, he was asking if i can self sponsor, i replied by asking if its possible to get sponsorship or external sponsorship or even in my second year, and he respond this... please my bosses i need your counsel regarding this.
I attach
I believe u can also try other schs. Make sure u sent cold emails to at least 4/5 supervisors in each Uni of similar research area, try to send them a reminder once weekly and another follow up after 6 days. Most do hav a lot of work and often forget to read emails. U hav a good research field and I believe u will get supervisor easily. Try up to 10 to 15 Uni and make ur email content very short. Gud luck |

damble: Hello good people, What's the VISA chances of someone who is 40 and going for certificate/diploma program?
Thanks I will not advice u to try that. Australia’s minimum age limit for post-study work visas for masters by course work is below 35 yrs while for PhD and research masters students is 50 |

Kingdave007: Actually @89omowu, it differs just like @kdamilola has said.
But you have the required overall score and should give it a try.
Send an email if you need help :logicflowdigital@gmail.com Thank you |

Kdamilola: Hello!
I'm sorry, I may not be the best to answer this because I've never done one myself; however, I'll try. The University of Sydney English language requirement states that overall 6.5 score is required, with no band less than 6.0. This means that it may be different from school to school.
Also, since you already have an admission (MSc by Research for that matter), I believe DHA may be able to accept whatever score your university accepts to make decision on your visa (The website states that you do not need to provide evidence of English test score if you are enrolled in a registered post-graduate research course). You can try to read more about the requirements from the DHA website (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500#Eligibility) to learn more about what applies to you.
Regards. Thank you |

Hi Kdamilola,
My IELTS result goes thus: listening= 5.5, reading =6, writing=6 speaking=7.5, overall 6.5. Is this score sufficient for visa processing for master of research considering the low score in listening. I have been given admission already. Thank you |

AKASBABA1: Certainly, you can. Let me clarify the situation for you. The English test primarily serves the purpose of admission and is primarily utilized by the schools. It is not strictly an immigration requirement, except for professions like nursing and other courses that have stringent English language proficiency criteria.
Having admission implies acceptance by the school based on your English score; otherwise, the school would not have accepted you. Thank you |
