Of course atheism is irrational in your view. Someone saying Zeus, Jesus and Perseus are myths is irrational BUT, if someone says something about ancient aliens, souls traveling between planets, holy grail, and other spiritual mumbo jumbo, you lap it up like a thirsty pug. I bet if Scientology came to Nigeria, you would embrace it and think it's, "Brilliant"!!

Isn't that your favorite god? If you could twist that particular concept of god to suit your spiritual taste, you would be worshipping it right now.

Deep Sight:
Are you sure this is not another attempt at deification of human spiritual leaders into God or gods? I instinctively recoil from any movement that I see attempting such. Indeed, I can tell you that the claims made about the identity of the writer of the Grail Message are the only reasons I stopped short of actually becoming a cross bearer.

Just how many people are we to accept as being divine manifestations of God? Your Living Eck Master/ Abd Ru Shin/ Jesus/ Guru Maharaji/ Olumba Olumba Obu +1000 others?

Lol

Declaring Jesus a myth is not atheism.

And you are well aware of the broad argument of a pre existent cause which I refer to and THAT is exactly what I refer to in that any person denying or contesting such is being tiresomely irrational.

Not Jesus, Perseus or Zeus. Or any other name for that matter.

so smarten up "son."

BUT, if someone says something about ancient aliens, souls traveling between planets, holy grail, and other spiritual mumbo jumbo, you lap it up like a thirsty pug.

Obviously you are not concentrating. Ancient aliens have nothing to do with "spiritual mumbo jumbo". Its an intriguing question which I erroneously thought I could discuss with you. I see I only ended up giving the village bully his favourite eternal sing-song of mockery. Enjoy.

Lol, probably Buddhism had to "come to Nigeria" for us to know about it bah?

Jesus is one of the gods or children of gods that do not exist. He's another man made diety.Clear enough for you?

The cause(s) of our universe is ineffable, so your endless and patently senseless spiritual rhetoric about it is what is tiresome. Your claims are not different from the thousands of other spiritual claims. Same idea, different names. You call it pre existent cause, they call it god, allah etc.

When the cause(s) of the universe is figured out, it won't be proven by rhetoric.

Deep Sight:
so smarten up "son."

Ok "fool", right after you discard the ignorant views that you think makes you "deep". What planet did your soul reside before it reincarnated in Nigeria?

Really? I recall you writing a poem about the "secrets of the pyramid".
"O pyramid, reveal thy secrets".
As if, you didn't think the Wandjina were literally sky people(ancient astronauts/gods) who came from another planet. It's your magical thinking that feeds the ignorance and credulity a.k.a spiritual mumbo jumbo

Always speaking from both sides of your mouth.

ea7: What a coincidence. April fool's day is also palm sunday. Loling.

Christians call it Palm Sunday while you call it April Fool's Day, you say it is a coincidence. The Scripture tells us about two kinds of fools; The fool has said in his heart there is no God (Psalm 14:1); and, I am a fool for Christ (1 Cor. 3:18).

"Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness" (1 Cor. 3:18-19).

The Lord has set before you Life and death. It is my prayer that you'll choose life and live.

Let's read Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein's quotes to see what they thought:

"We account the Scriptures of God to be the most sublime philosophy. I find more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history whatsoever." -- Sir Isaac Newton

This is what Albert Einstein wrote about faith:

"In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognise, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what makes me really angry is that they quote me for support of such views."

"I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts. The rest are details." (The Expanded Quotable Einstein, Princeton University Press, page 202).

Little Children

"And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:2,3)

Many adult Christians have the mistaken notion that little children are too young to understand the gospel, and so should not be allowed to decide for Christ until they are older. The problem, however, is not the children; it is the adults who cannot understand! They must become like little children before they can really comprehend the way of salvation and be converted. Jesus said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. . . . Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein" (Luke 18:16,17).

After all, what is there to understand? A very young child, instructed in the Scriptures from infancy as God has commanded his parents (note 2 Timothy 3:15, which uses the Greek word for "baby" as the state in which young Timothy began to know the Bible), can surely comprehend that the God to whom his parents pray made him, that he has sinned against God when he does wrong, that God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for his sins, and that Jesus can save him and take him to heaven. An adult may require much explanation and may imagine many difficulties, but a child will simply believe—and that’s enough!

The word for "little child" or "little children" actually means children who are not much more than toddlers. It is the same word rendered "young child" when the wise men came to find Jesus in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:8, etc.). Little children should, by all means, be taught the gospel, and should be encouraged to come to Christ before they grow too old to understand with their hearts! HMM

Well, well, well. Apparently, we were both wrong! I was wrong to call you a liar and to forget that there are many versions/editions of the bible. You too made that mistake as well because yu sad that I misquoted the bible but in reality, I just put the full quote from another version.

See, this is the problem of the bible, it is so unreliable and has too many versions. How can truth have different parts with different/missing words in the different versions?

You will probably claim King James version is the bible but even the King James version was the 3rd English remix (version) of the bible

You were sold a dummy and my advise to you is to go back to those who sold that Bible to you and get a refund.

This is a story of some "silly" people who named their parrot Moses.

Jesus is Watching You

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying:

"Jesus is watching you".

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself to take a "kit-kat" after the next big score, then flicked the light back on and began searching for more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard:

"Jesus is watching you."

Totally rattled, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

"Did you just say that?"

He hissed at the parrot.

"Yes,"

the parrot confessed, then squawked,

"I'm just trying to warn you."

The burglar relaxed.

"Warn me, huh? Who do you think you are any way?"

"Moses,"

Replied the bird.

"Moses?"

the burglar laughed.

"What kind of silly people would name a parrot 'Moses'?"

The bird promptly answered:

"The same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler 'Jesus'! shocked shocked shocked

Even if one is to agree that Einstein was a Christian (he wasn't), your appeal to authority is silly. Einstein might have been a genius when it comes to Physics but he was just another regular guy when it comes to economicsand the likes. He supported socialism, and socialism is always inefficient and uneconomical in the long run and too much government is never conducive to individual liberty, eg Nigeria

.. So if he did believe in god, so f#cking what? He was just another human, same goes for newton.

These and many other great scientists have believed the Bible as the infallible Word of God, and it was their faith that was the driving force and intellectual foundation of their excellent scientific work.

Real Scientists Who Believe In God

Most of the great scientists of the past who founded and developed the key disciplines of science were biblical Christians who were creationists. Note the following sampling:

Physics: Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, Kelvin

Chemistry: Boyle, Dalton, Pascal, Ramsay

Biology: Ray, Linnaeus, Mendel, Pasteur

Geology: Steno, Woodward, Brewster, Agassiz

Astronomy: Kepler, Galileo, Herschel, Maunder

"These men, as well as scores of others who could be mentioned, were creationists, not evolutionists, and their names are practically synonymous with the rise of modern science. To them, the scientific enterprise was a high calling, one dedicated to thinking God's thoughts after Him."

-- A creationist and theologian, Henry Morris and Gary E. Parker, What is Creation Science?

Here is another quote from Arthur H. Compton, winner of Nobel Prize in Physics:

"Science is the glimpse of God's purpose in nature. The very existence of the amazing world of the atom and radiation points to a purposeful creation, to the idea that there is a God and an intelligent purpose back of everything . . . An orderly universe testifies to the greatest statement ever uttered: 'In the beginning, God . . .'"

Johann Kepler:

"The chief aim of all investigation of the external world should be to discover the rational order and harmony which has been imposed on it by God."

Lord Kelvin:

"With regard to the origin of life, science . . . positively affirms creative power."

Sir Isaac Newton:

"All material things seem to have been composed of the hard and solid particles above mentioned, variously associated in the first creation by the counsel of an intelligent Agent. For it became Him who created them to set them in order. And if He did so, it's unphilosophical to seek for any other origin of the world, or to pretend that it might arise out of a chaos by the mere laws of nature."

"An increasing number of scientists, most particularly a growing number of evolutionists . . . argue that Darwinian evolutionary theory is no genuine scientific theory at all . . . Many of the critics have the highest intellectual credentials."

-- Michael Ruse, 'Darwin's Theory: An Exercise in Science,' New Scientist
