a mother met her today and said she would see so and so but we told her so and so was not around so she said lets talk in private so we went to an inner room. She introduced herself and said her daughter really needed admission then we smiled and said what is the score and she replied 208, then we asked her for the printout and she said oh well she would bring it tomorrow then we said ok but really no need she supply us the registration number so we can check and advice then she says she only has the name and we laugh - you see its not adding up, you come for a request without a printout and do not know the registration number.

We use the names to check and behold the score 168 then she is so embarrassed and says well when my daughter came back from the examination she said she scored 168 but my nephew told me he knows someone at ICTC and he went and came back with this printout of 208. My daughter kept asking me how the score had now changed. We tell her not to be so apologetic that we are aware of such criminality, that she should encourage her daughter to read hard for the basic screening examination and prepare for the next JAMB examination

just go and buy jamb form, we run this records through two dbms, you have a score online because you wrote the exam but that does not preclude from the fact that you were ineligible to write the exam.

its not weird, at the time of the exam, JAMB sent a database to the school for only 1st choice so people in 2nd choice were asked to fill their details into the portal in "good faith". For 1st choice people you input your registration number and the details from the JAMB database are pulled out, for the 2nd choice people however, there was nothing so if you fill spurious details there is no check with the JAMB database prior to the examination.

That is the reason why some universities like UNILAG insist that they only 1st choice candidates write their screening test. Others do 1st choice in 1 month and later on when they have the 2nd choice conduct a separate exam for them.

i doubt very much as the 2 programs are not related, Basic is a remedial program with their 2nd semester examination billed to start on the 17th of September and concluded within 5 days with their results put online for all to see. The regular students are just starting lectures with examinations billed for the middle of November or thereabout. You guys should just relax, even if registration starts this year which i doubt, campus accommodation will not be available for you till next year.
