when they wrote basic entrance exams I was there... They aren't sleeping/lock down as u want to think... There were students in hostels and movt. in the campuses..

It seems the online clearance on the e campus site is only 4 those whose names came out on merit... I tried doing mine but I couldn't cos I use an initial when I was doing my registeration for the putme.. They directed me to the admission office to rectify the problem.

Body no be firewood, it needs rest, things will be a bit clearer from next week with regards to registration of year 1 students, you guys should not be in a hurry to sign up. The best sign that registration has indeed started is when the medical center starts their own process. Exercise patience.

The University of Port Harcourt will reopen next week which would be a lecture free week it appears, it is also claimed that year 1 can start registration process. For now it appears only those on merit list can sign up but not sure if they can pay fees. Anyway in the days to come things would be clearer, this process can last for about 3 months so even if you start in January you may not miss much.

It is expected that medicals should commence 1st week in December for fresh students.

i also wrote dis recent putme in uniport, for petroleum engineering ,got 200... but wen dis 3rd list came out i saw my name in mathematics & statistics.. and i was like :'-( .... my question is can anyting good com out from it apart from teacher & lecturer job?

sorry would be unable to add you on either 2go or facebook for privacy reasons, we can continue to relate here. With regards to accommodation, for now the policy remains only year 1 in the school hostels, dunno if that policy will change in the light of recent developments. For those that can afford it they usually pair of with somebody of like mind and rent a self contained apartment in nearby areas of alaska, choba and aluu which can be from 80000 - 140000 per year, depending on the location and facilities ensuite.
