Its so funny when you see some of our nollywood actors/actresses trying to sing and some of our musicians trying to act in nollywood, thereby making a mess of themselves before everybody. when you see some of our music artistes in movies, you cant but laugh and laugh. especially when you see the one tuface stared in some years ago(cant remember the title of the movie now. was it not eh...The Virgin Prostitute?). it was as if he was forcing himself to act. And what about others after him, who have tried acting in movies as well. it hasn't been an enjoyable experience for them, nor for the viewers as well. And what about nollywood artistes trying to go into music. it has been the same story as well. check out the likes of Genevieve, Omotola, Shan Goerge, Desmond Elliot, etc. some of them do mime or use their voice on someone's else song. making those that want to believe, believe that they are the ones singing the song (example is the ones sang by Muma Gee & Osufia). their crossing over or trying their hands on music (since film roles no too dey for some of them for nollywood) outside acting, hasn't been a sweet tale for many of them. atimes making their venture into music seem like a comedy. I advise that they just face their real profession and leave the professionals to do their work. But the same can not be said of artistes/entertainers abroad. like those in hollywood, who find it so easy to cross over/mix both their acting and music career together. and they are doing it so well. check out the likes of Will Smith (who is so good in acting, apart from being a successful music artiste), Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Tyrese, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Christina Aguleira, Eve, Missy Elliot, and so many others. even professional wrestlers are now doing the same, and most of them are doing well already in Hollywood. especially the likes of The Rock, Tripple H, John Cena etc. and their kids are out of this world when it comes to acting as well. they act naturally. its in their DNA. unlike most of our own kid actors. atimes, I feel sorry for the producer/director who had to use them in their movies. That's why, Aki and Pawpaw are making it and still getting roles. Cos our kid actors aren't up to it at all. abeg, make we leave work for professionals. if you are a nigerian musician, face your music, and if you're a nigerian actor/actress, abeg face your acting career and leave music for the professionals. make una stop dey waste una money, and time. Nigerians are wise. they know wetin good and wetin bad. Or is it because they are entertainers, make them an all rounder? Abeg make una no allow sabi sabi kill una. case close!
