Its an underrated weapon IMO, cos Lukaku drags defenders with him, leaving space for Kova to either run in behind or play a pass. But it seems Kovacic is the only one who does it often. He could've scored a couple more goals this season from this sequence if he was a better finisher.

He did same thing with the chance Ziyech set up for Werner, if Werner can convert and be plays up top with Lukaku they’ll both get a goals

The fact Hojberg was the only Spurs player showing for the ball shows how much press was on that ball from Mount and co. When your defenders are making 30 passes, it shows the pressure is much, and Hojberg is the only one showing for the ball under pressure, outpassing his defenders almost two to one. You can see how the pressure affected the defenders with Tanganga messing up for both goals, he couldn't handle it.

Compare with Jogginghoe whose defenders are making 90 passes and he is only making 55, that means play was easy in that area of the pitch for his defenders to be touching ball so much, yet he was still the most unavailable to receive pass out of all of them.

If Jogginghoe can make 60 passes under the same pressure Spurs were under, I would rate his balls, but whenever we come under similar pressure, you won't see him making more than 30.

A striker need not do more than slightly pressure both centre-backs, and let the wingers and AM do the furious part of the pressing. Centrebacks will hardly leave their position to show for ball for fear of a strikers presence. That game was wasy mehn, we should have put the tie to bed though. Saul did well today in the defensive part, Tuchel use of 4-3-3 was a masterstroke, Spurs were utterly confused.

I like that our team is quite versatile and tactical especially the defence and midfield.

Now I see why Tuchel is going Kounde. This 433 formation was very good. If Tuchel sign Tchouameni and kounde next season we will play more of 433 formation.

at last it seems tuchel is getting sense by trying a new formation, we saw the impact and tottenham were completely surprised and dominated, this is how i expect chelsea to play going forward against those yeye epl small teams that park the bus against us. we never looked in danger and created so many clear chances. we try. one last thing i think the formation was 4231 not 433.
