I have seen some videos trick from Chinese and Indian kids. These things are easier to learn when you are still in elementary school

It's not that hard for those that memorized 2X - 9X multiplication tables.

The golden rule is to multiply from left to right and round up then subtract or add e.g 48X3 = 50X3 = 150 - 6 (the 2 that was added to 48 multiplied by 3) = 144.
