You didn’t know the profile of the goalkeeper you were calling. You just saw a big name and decided to add him to your squad. Then 2nd game into a tournament, you want a player to completely change the way they play football. No be madness be that?
Onana was their best keeper and Cameroon was not going to play possession based football and back passing with that their squad.

Nope, Just two i think. United 2008, United 1999 and this Man city. Bayern did in 2020 but it was in empty stadiums and one legged ties so doesn't count.

United's treble team went on a 33-match unbeaten run in to lift the three trophies. They had to win all their games towards the end, and they weren't easy games.

City had it wasier in the league vs a lily-livered Arsenal team, an FA cup semi against Sheffield or whatshisface, and we all knew they were going to beat Inter in the final.

Kudos to them for clinching the treble tho, but they had it way easier.

Omo, Haaland fall hand. He didn't quite deliver in the clutch games that would have sealed his Ballon d'or win. Blanks against Real, FA Cup final and this CL final. Even the title decider against Arsenal, he was missing loads of chances while KdB stole the show.

Which begs the question: Did Man City really need Haaland to win the CL? Or was it just a case of "we can't just fold our arms and do nothing". I think City could as well have won the CL without him.

His presence can't be discounted. He kept defenders busy, freeing up his teammates.

He does make City look one-dimensional tho.

A coach can't be a clown for wanting a player to play a certain way but rather it is the player who is indiscipline, stupid for walking out on his coach.
