Twas a HAZARDous team performance , especially in that first half. But the party ended too soon.

One thing to note is that RDM fielded Bertrand - primarily a defender - front of Ashley to curb the advances of Moses. This totally elimanted the left side of our attack as an outlet. Had we Marin on the left, we would have been more dynamic in attack.

We will get better though. The blending of the different styles of Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Marin maybe Hulk and/or Moses is a a far way from beginning. As such, we won't begin to see the true quality in side up until a few matches in.

The key to having a good season is to continue to grind out results in the first few games and staying in it. That way, we keep the positive belief in the camp and we could have a phenomenal season.

It's one person's opinion. It does not mean he is right. Where was his opinion against ManCity where Torres was very alive?
We are playing with the integration of very new technically gifted players, I believe will get to know Torres more and understand how he plays.

I am not making any predictions now. I am going to sit back and watch how it all unfolds.

put the ball forward for torres - chelsea's problem is the snail speed they play. chelsea are the slowest team in the league in getting the ball to their lead striker. the lethargic pace is worrying - its like a curse and i don't see that problem going away anytime soon!

it's not his poor positioning that is the problem but the poor reaction time of the midfielders to thread a pass to torres. he was caught offside like 5 times today when the pass could have been released much earlier. when a striker strays offside as much as torres does, the man in possession must have had instantaneous brain farts before releasing the ball..

if it was xavi/iniesta behind him today, i have no doubt he would have scored. he had to feed on scraps this afternoon bar the chance that got cleared off the line - and that should have been a penalty as he was sandwiched by 2 wigan defenders before he kicked the ball into an open net! chelsea must find a way to get the best out of him this season!

1) Torres wasn't caught offside "like 5 times". Exaggeration.
Dude was in the MF nearly as often as he was up front.

2) Shouldn't have been a penalty. Torres developed spaghetti legs and fell.
