www.blogging.com.ng is creating a global on-demand service for Nigerian bloggers. But there are several other areas that can also be tapped. Are you an investor? Setup a business in Nigeria and benefit from the strengths of the Nigerian society.

1. Good English language skills - The Internet is currently dominated by English language. Having good English language skills makes it easy for you to communicate. With this, you can get info and offer info smoothly. Imagine if all you spoke was your mother tongue Hausa or Ibo, or Yoruba language. You have a great advantage if you can speak and write English fluently. You can begin to think of copywriting, editing, web design, programming, or general writing services if you are sure of your command of the English language.

2. Good writers. We have several writers in Nigeria, but unfortunately they are under utilised. You see people writing their hearts out in churches, schools, and in the society but without much income from the books they struggle to self publish. If you have ideas, and have time to convert the books to topics people will learn to read about, then you can start producing books for sale on the International ground. It will only take you learning how to write along the style of the western markets.

3. Human resource
You of course know there are many graduates in Nigeria - whether they are good or bad is another issue. But clearly any graduate from a university in Nigeria will have basic common sense to handle some tasks that many will pay $1-$5 for. On the high end, Nigerian graduates can handle support, online assistance, etc. This is the basis for sites like Amazon Turk and Microworkers or so.

4. Time
Nigerians have an abundance of time and will power. With time massively available at our disposal, we could step in to some time-consuming tasks which no one will likely settle for. Manually detection of spam mails (what do you think?). That is just an idea anyway.

5. Poor value of the local currency.
When the local currency is weak against the dollar, it should be an advantage for labour costs-minded businesses. We can tap into this in Nigeria, in particular our professionals. Some professionals abroad charge up to $60 - $200 per hour depending on their skills. Can't we have a skill base in Nigeria who can charge $20 per hour and have them offer comparable services?

6. Business & Money minded populace
7. Bookworms
8. Western-mindedness consuming market
9. Hardworking people
10. Smart and adaptable persons
