For a visit visa, I will suggest one million as closing account balance. If you are working, let the account statement reflect your monthly salary please. Avoid any form of money dumping into the account close to your submission period please. With such acct balance(N1,000,000), it is also advisable to go for average hotels( like 15k hotels per night), during your hotel reservations and cheaper flights as well. Air Rwanda/Kenya will suffice. No one will want to spend all their savings on vacation. These visa officers are smart you know. I wish you the best
hello, you seem to be vast with the tourist visa stuff. Please advise me:

I intend traveling towards the end of June and would be staying for like 7 days, in a hotel of course.

I was processing the visa stuff with wakanow.com (already paid 10k for consultation).
They are saying visa fees is 85k. Want to start the processing after Easter but I want to find out:

1. Can I process on my own without having to go through a travel agent?
2.is the visa fee cheaper than the 85k I’m being charged if I go on my own?
3. How much is the estimate in both flight and accommodation and tour that would be enough for a 7 day stay?
4. Which of the South African cities would you suggest that is so much fun for a young single man( I don’t have any one in mind)
5.5.Do I have to pay for flight booking and hotel before I submit my application?

I don’t want this travel agent to rip me off, because they are saying I must book an accommodation with them.
Just like you opined, I want to spend the least amount possible, as no one wants to spend his life savings on vacation.
Your imput will be very much appreciated. I don’t mind getting your contact if possible.

Use hotels.com and filter your search by "no prepayment". No prepayment simply means you will pay when you check-in. Just use any card that is valid but doesnt have much funds in it (500 naira or 1k is fine). Just incase you forget to cancel your booking later. That way, your card wont be charged for the booking. LOL............I think i am spilling too much. The travel agents on this thread wont be happy with me. These are SIMPLE things they deceive and charge people for. Bunch of mofos
hello, you mean if I make hotel reservations and flight reservations this way you specified without actually paying, and ever other thing being ok, I can submit my documents myself without going through an agent and I would be issued a visa?

Also, please which of the places in South Africa can I have maximum fun? I want to enjoy my stay to the fullest
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mroyato(m): 12:57pm On Apr 10, 2019
To begin with, if you have plans to travel by June I advice you apply at least 6 weeks before your proposed departure date.

Secondly, visa application fee is less than 40k if you apply by yourself. However you need to find out the list of required application documents.

Depending on how early you book your flight and where you are going to flight prices vary. For instance, flights to joburg are usually cheaper. Less than 150k for a return ticket to joburg. Flights to Capetown and other cities are usually expensive. On a average, keep a budget of 250k.

For accommodation, I will advice you try airbnb. It's usually much cheaper and gives a variety of choice to make. If you have a big taste for houses, keep a budget of 100 dollars per night.

If you are going to SA for the first time I advise you don't go to Joburg on your first visit. Capetown is a very lovely city. You will love it.

Lastly, nobody books flight and accommodation during visa application. When you get to vfs, those guys hustling around would help you for a token.

I hope this helps.

Many unis offer Dba, but they mostly offer it under their school of business. WITS, UCT, Uni of Pretoria and UkZN have school of businesses that offer DbA. Just that it’s quite competitive.

Some schools will even allow you to do PhD with your MBA.

Please do you have information on those schools that offer PhD with MBA

wow! This info has been very helpful.
Was just checking prices of hotels on Airbnb. Are those prices real? They are actually very affordable. That means I can stay longer if I want.

Why do you say I shouldn’t go to jo’burg as a first timer?

I have the list of required documents already from waka now.com but I don’t want to continue with them if I can do it on my own.

Are you saying I don’t have to make any form of hotel and airline reservation when presenting my documents ?

What sort of help would I expect from the guys at the vsf?
Thanks once again for your response
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mroyato(m): 5:04pm On Apr 10, 2019
Yes, you can use your visa even if your intended date of traveling has passed. And yes there is a direct flight to Capetown intl airport from Lagos.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mroyato(m): 5:21pm On Apr 10, 2019
For a first-timer, you may not like your trip to Joburg. Generally, Joburg is notorious for a lot of things except if you are familiar with the city. However, the city is quite beautiful.

As for applying on your own, you are very good to go as far as your documents are good.

For the flight and hotel reservation, it is a compulsory part of your application. All I am saying is that you do not have to make a paid reservation for them until your visa is out. I have suggested the vfs shops so that you can ease yourself of the headache. They'll sort you out with a token.

Not all of Johannesburg is dangerous.
Avoid places like CBD and the inner cities

Joburg Town or CBD is like lagos town.

Too many agberos (street kids) u can be robbed easily even in day light. Or stabbed with knife. Even some 9ja guys u see there u may not want to trust all of them too much cos ur fellow 9ja can also rob u. So that's why he is not recommending that side to u.

Good luck.

Google momentum study insurance. U will get all the information. After u make ur payment to them u send them proof of payment, ur passport copy and school acceptance later.
Once the payment is confirmed. U will be mailed the insurance certificate (within 24 to 48 hours) u will submit at embassy. Note u should choose 12 months option which should be around R4999 or so. If u choose less than 12 vfs lagos will reject it except u study is less than 12 months

Google is ur friend

Pls my agent told me that it's very hard to obtain visa currently(Starting from December 2018 and January 2019) at SA embassy in Lagos and Abuja.
Now she gave me an option of applying and obtaining the visa for me through SA embassy in Ghana utilizing her contact..
My question: Is it possible to obtain SA visa from Ghana as a Nigerian and still travel from Nigeria without issues. Can the visa be given without the individual seeking for it being physically present in Ghana..
Pls someone with good information should update me before I commit my money..
Thanks
