A gang of 10 gunmen
today, invaded the cattle
market in Potiskum, Yobe State,
killing two traders and injuring
an unspecified number of people. Riding on motorcycles, the
gunmen attacked the market in
the same way as a group of
hoodlums invaded the same place
early this month, killing about 50
traders. Residents confirmed the incident
on the telephone.
Attempts to obtain a
confirmation from the state
police command failed.
