Why is it that President Jonathan has become very efficient at passing policies that cause public uproar while he shelves the ones that will make the public love him?

A short list being;

Fuel subsidy removal

Electricity tariff hike without providing stable electricity supply

Renaming university of Lagos

You forget also his entirely unfocused pursuit of tenure elongation. We also remember how ,shortly after winning the election, the first thing he did was signal that he will be a partner to bloated governance and profligacy with the announcement "leaner Government not possible". Till today, "leaner Government is still not possible while Nigeria is in all sorts of economic mess with the entire world shouting at us to trim the size and cost of Governance.

Also, who can justify the crazy decision that the home of corruption 'turn around' our refineries within 24 months? Which farmer, save a perverse one, puts a fox in charge of the Chickens?

My brother, there are simply too many examples of GEJ showing Usain Bolt haste when anti-people/unpopular policies need to be bullied through. Even executive fiat will be mentioned as a bullying tool. Yet, it is always one excuses or the other to justify inaction as regards the policies that will secure National progress. Then you will hear "cabals", the "constitution" and "sabotage".

Its a real pity. Gradually the electricity tariff hike will soon start having effect as people start paying more for electricity they don't see and still have to run their generators.
