It was a bright day in the village of Umuata as the sun rises in a miraculous way, all young men and women of Umuata sets out to the farm for the days work, little children of Umuata prepares for school, while the older ones clenches thier chins and watch the busy day, wishing that they could get younger again. As everyother homes in the village of Umuata prepares for the days work in its normal method the family of Ibe never does thiers in that way cause of the lack of a child, for over 19 years of mariage no cry of a baby in thier home this resulted to them being made mockery of and being insulted. This obvious problem caused Mr Ibe and his wife the outflaw of timidness.

We already have a thread created by Oluchi007 titled Continued The Story - so what's the purpose of having a duplicate?

Why not think up a different title for this new thread of yours?

The problem was Mr. Ibe. It must have been. All the women of the village knew that there had been a baby once. What wife doesn't have her secrets? The Ibe's had grown used to the mockery. Their childlessness was a distinct feature, like a limp. On happier days Mrs. Ibe would joke about it herself when friends came to visit. She was always one to make the best of things. That's why he loved her so. Because they had no children, they would host all of the major events in the village. She could boast of the cleanest home. Her optimism and lack of children gave her a beauty and a figure that many of the women envied. Their words never cut so much as their eyes. She would smile and go about her work, tend to her husband, and make treats for the village children. For the women, the only thing worse than their husbands' wandering eyes were their children's unwaivering adoration for "aunty."

Only one woman in the village was truly and deeply her friend, without reservation or judgment.

It was mrs chinwe, she and Mrs Ibe had long been allies as they grew up together right from their teens. Apart from the fact that they both came from the same district, many people believed that their close sisterhood was due to the fact that they both shared a common empathy toward one another as mrs chinwe was also yet to concieve a child.

The duo were often sighted together in the market square, the town hall, during festivals & other activities that people often mistook them for sisters but for the sharp contrast in their appearance. While Mrs Ibe was light in completion & of average height, her best friend was appreciably dark and tall.
