its not how you play that matters. the result matters most. Example: barcelona in the Champions league. Enough said.

i would rather have nigeria start off with 1-0 wins and top their group rather than last AFCON qualifier when we were winning 4-0 against teams and STILL didnt qualify in the end. The players upfront on the team today were linking up really well. Give it time, and the team (both homebased and foreign) will gel together well.

At least our coach is giving chances to homebased guys. This will encourage other home based players to put in more effort into the way they play. but the time you know it Naija will be a force to recon with again.

UP NIGERIA cool

Seriously this Nigerian team is still very far from it. I still c the same old story. Stephen Keshi and all the boys still have much work to do. The midfield is weak, attack is nonsense, defence just managed because the opponent was also not good enof. They tried sha, at least they won.

All dis sickenly sentimental Siasia fans wuld neva eva shut their trap, wuld dey? How can any objective-minded person compare d coordinated, experienced &tactical play of Keshi wit Siasia (or 'Sia1 as dey mushily call him)? Siasia is too inexperincd compared 2Keshi &is only suited 4age grade futball (of course wit ova-aged players he uses). A certain Peter Utaka wuld hav bn runnin aimlessly round d field &d whole team playin borin like U-20!

Keshi is not a good coach, Siasia is far better for now and for the future. The players and FA sabortaged him but time will tell.

Keshi is a terrible coach. . . . I said it in the time of Siasia and I was vindicated. I just hope this time we realise that we have a worse coach than we initially did. Keshi has failed all through his coaching career, and is destined to do so again. I can't believe that with all the crop of players we have this ragtag team is what he could come up with?. . . . It was also glaring that we had no purpose and no formation. I feel sorry for Nigerian football.

The truth shall be made manifest against KENYA.

You are obviously not vast in football affairs. This is the same side that lost to Peru ( A team B Peru side for goodness sake!!). And you are judging them as EXCELLENT over a match against Namibia, even when they(SE) played terribly?! Well that's just amazing.

YOU my friend are not vast in football affairs AT ALL. that was clearly a top Peru side with all their best players on the pitch (farfan, pizzaro AND guerrero). i bet you don't even know who they are undecided
and mind you, nigeria played HOMEBASED PLAYERS against them and put up a good fight. I don't know whether you are just joining the "super eagles hater" bandwagon or you are really that sttupid not to see the clear difference between the teams.

and in the Namibia game, they dominated the ball possesion but just could not score. the Namibia coach clearly stated that he wanted to go there for a draw and wanted to "park the bus" like chelsea did. AND NIGERIA STILL SCORED AND YOU ARE COMPLAINING? ? ? ?.

this is why I hate "so called" nigerian fans. they are glory hunters. they are only happy when they win but when they lose then they are automatically the worst in the world. people like you don't deserve to watch football at all. Did you watch Germany vs Switzerland where germany lost 5-3. In their next game, the stadium was STILL PACKED because the people there actually care for the wellbeing of their team.

Compare both teams and realise how uninformed you have made yourself look. FYI, I have been watching South American football since the days of the TV show : FOOTBALL AMERICAS showed on NTA back in 96. And just to show you how knowledgeable I am of Peruvian football,I was opportune to watch great players such as Nolberto Solano and Roberto Palacios. The latter retired on the same day of the friendly against Nigeria. . . . I doubt you had started watching football when they were actively playing. Btw i don't think I should be arguing with a mentally impeded being such as yourself, so I will let it rest here.. .

i like your level of maturity. calling me mentally impeded to make your sad self feel better. that didn't work try another one. . .maybe other insults might slightly help your self-esteem. wink

You are trying to change the topic from my earler point. You said we lost against a B Team Peru side (with the 3 players I mentioned earlier). If Peru used a B team (still containing stars), then Nigeria used a C team because 99% of our players were homebased.

so PERU 'B' vs Nigeria 'C' and nigeria lost be a lone goal, played well especially toward the end when Oduamadi and other subs came on. your point is?
don't be immature as I can tell you are somewhat older than me. No one will listen to a mad-man throwing around insults kiss

i have no ties to Peru hence me not watching their football. Try asking me anything on Germany or Czech Republic(from my time of birth[late 1980's] till today) if you want to be schooled. Then we can decide who is really mentally impeded. I'll be waiting you your response. Unless you're scared wink

Yet to ascertain if you suffer from dissociative identity disorder or are just struggling to seem intellectual relevant. Here are two quotes from your initial posts:

"(farfan, pizzaro AND guerrero). i bet you don't even know who they are."

"i have no ties to Peru hence me not watching their football."

The moral of the story is: Don't be so quick to assume. . . It will surprise you to know this fact, I have noted from the friendly with Peru, the match with Namibia and matches prior to those. A point you clearly didn't understand in my post. . :

This is our New look Super Eagles (There will be no additions any time soon, till we are in serious trouble.)

While you enjoy the team, I would advice you not to forget our last encounter with the Kenyan national team. Also keep in mind that we had a much better team back then.

BTW there's nothing you can tell me about Germany and Czech rep. . . Don't make me laugh. I watch leagues you wouldn't expect anyone to. . Thats how much of a football follower I am. So when I say we played badly I am not even bothered about the win.

Oh, by the way it's 'INTELLECTUALLY relevant', Einstein
undecided
I think it's funny that you want to make it seem like you're the only one that watches unknown leagues. I won't tell you otherwise so I don't scar your ego. And yes I don't watch the Peruvian league. Does that mean I don't watch Peruvian players in other leagues? So your comparisons of my 2 quotes are clearly mentioning players I have followed for years. So, still, you are just talking in circles. You're right, I probably couldn't tell you much about leagues I watch because you would just go on Google and copy/paste facts to make yourself seem well versed in them as well, so, I intend not to waste my time.

You say that you aren't bothered about wins? Winning makes the game. Why play any game just because. There is meant to be a certain prize at the end, even if it is just the satisfaction of completing the task at hand. Several generations from now, people won't remember how Chelsea won the Champions league. It all comes down to the result.
I don't know about you but I personally would rather play okay and win rather than play superbly and lose. Of course I'm sure people would do the reverse for reasons unknown to man. But that is just where I stand
