Stop these nonsense and tackle the problem. Nigerians need to wane themselves of unsolicited and unnecessary prayers when the underlying problems are not being tackled. I had a young woman the other day who was praying so hard before her trip back home. I asked: what are you praying for? She said for God to protect her. I asked: protect you from what or from whom? She said: accidents. I asked: what causes the accidents? She said bad people. I asked: who are these bad people? She said she doesn't know. I sat her down for a moment and talked some sense into her: I told her go to developed countries, even our neighbor South Africa, though they have accidents, however minor accidents from people driving while intoxicated, rarely you hear of accidents caused by poor roads and network, lack of reliable traffic systems and proper enforcement of traffic related laws. Most Nigeria cities don't have these that meet minimum standards. So what do you expect: accidents, and we will blame it on Satan, if not on God for allowing it to happen. What has God got to do with these, absolutely nothing. Let's get over these nonsense, tackle the problems on ground we face and God will help us. Take a look at the recent crash in Lagos. Do you know those people prayed so hard before they entered that airline? Yes they did very well. However, when Human stupidity becomes so erratic and uncontrolled, prayer doesn't work. Aircrafts are designed to have two engines for a reason, which is for one to work when the other stops working. As I am being told, the airline insisted on flying the it to Lagos with only one of its two engines working. What do you think would happen when that one engine stops working? Of course there will be crash and God can't help you in this situation. Same goes with the rescue operation, it took 2 hrs for NEMA to arrive. Why should it take so long? Eyewitnesses said there were people still alive immediately the crash happened, I have no doubt that some lives would had be saved if we had reliable, fire emergency rescue stations situated in every community in this country. Instead Pray for our leaders to stop being corrupt and invest our money properly. Usually I don't write this long but really have to get this out.
