What is the meaning of this ? Is the guy alright at all? Why sueing the company that sold the death trap plane please brosie come back here to sue DANA and Nigeria Aviation Industry for failure on their part and stop going after impossible mission because you will ends up loosing the case and pay your lawyer.

Loosing your wife, loose the case and still pay your lawyer. Come down here to fight a just case and proof a point but in America bros forget it,s purely baseless case because the company that sold the plane will deny it and proof it that the plane was good to fly as of the time it was sold and DANA were not in any point in time forced to buy the plane it was a deal and purely a business transaction.

Myself2:

Was it the aviation minister that released the plane tyo fly.
The NCAA is culpable,at least with all the stories that tghe aircraft had a history of air returns and engine failure,it is their duty to have sent in their engineers to take a good look at the engine ang ground it,but I guess they were too lax

The buck stops with the Aviation minister. She can never spin out of this. She's the one tasked by the Prezident to oversee the activities in the Aviation sector. She iz the head, and when a tragedy like this occurs; the head must roll. Followed by some adjustment to restore the confidence of the public in the sector. You can't continue to play with the same team, same coach and same tactics and expect a different rezult.

Isaactop9: Ibo and money. Instead of mourning his wife who died he is looking for case to hammer cheesy he for sue GEJ than suing ppl that manufactured the plane long tym ago.

Haven mourned his wife for 4days is it not enough for him to have recovered from the shock and begin to question whose mistake or negligence is responsible for this calamity?. Your little brained has not yet convinced you that this crash is as a result of human error and not an act of God. You came up early this morning to make jest of a bereaved man, you will soon be in his shoes. Tribal animal.

Mr. Gary Robb, a Kansas City based AVIATION ATTORNEY certainly thinks that Chukwunonso Allison has a case. So all you dimwits here mouthing off over Igboman and money should shut up.
He should go for it. Whether he mourns or not, his wife is not comming back. Time to kick a-ss.

My earlier post did'nt come out well. Something went wrong with the format.

YES, the guy is alright. His wife is dead, gone, finito, never comming back. Sitting down to weep, cry and shout will not bring his wife back. So he needs to seek revenge. His American Aviation attorney agrees with him. I hope he sues them for nothing les than $1billion. That is the Igbo spirit.

Yes! Some people need to answer series of questions concerning this mishap. From Boeing to NCAA to FAAN to Minister of Aviation to FGN to Dana Airlines etc. The man has decided to sue from the top. So be it.

Senseless case....... Stupid man! He should go and mourn his wife. Let him put it this way - He buys a 2000 model Japanese tokunbo car here in nigeria and the car failed brakes and killed all the passengers in the car. A victim's husband decides to sue the Japanese company because the car was manufactured there.....

Real stupidity at work here. is 16m not enough for him ?.....

Please read, this is what happened after an earlier crash in 2000 involving an MD 83 owned by Alaska airlines, the full article is on wikipedia.

Aftermath

Memorial Sundial in Port Hueneme, California
After the crash occurred, Alaska Airlines management said that it hoped to handle the aftermath in a manner similar to that done by Swissair after the Swissair Flight 111 accident, as opposed to the manner that TWA handled the aftermath of TWA Flight 800; in other words, to provide timely information and compassion to the families of victims.[17]
The families of the victims approved the construction of a memorial sundial that was placed at Port Hueneme. The sundial was designed by Santa Barbara artist Bud Bottoms to cast a shadow on a memorial plaque at 4:22 p.m. each January 31.[18]
For their actions during the emergency, Captain Ted Thompson and First Officer Bill Tansky were awarded the Airline Pilots Association Gold Medal for Heroism, the only time the award has been given posthumously.[19]
Both Boeing and Alaska Airlines eventually conceded liability for the crash, and all but one of the lawsuits brought by surviving family members were settled out-of-court before going to trial.[20] Candy Hatcher of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer said "Many lost faith in Alaska Airlines, a homegrown company that had taken pride in its safety record and billed itself as a family airline."[5]
Two victims from Alaska 261 were falsely named in paternity suits as the fathers of children in Guatemala in an attempt to gain insurance and settlement money. DNA testing revealed these claims to be false.[21]
This crash was featured in a 2004 episode of Discovery Channel (Canada)'s Mayday television program (also known as Air Crash Investigation and also known as Air Emergency), titled Cutting Corners or Fatal Error.
The Ted Thompson/Bill Tansky Scholarship Fund was named after the two cockpit flight crew members.[22]
Many residents of the City of Seattle had been affected by the disaster. As part of a memorial vigil in the year 2000, a column of light was beamed from the top of the Space Needle.[23] Students and faculty at the John Hay Elementary School in Queen Anne, Seattle held a memorial for four Hay students who died in the crash.[24] In April, 2001, John Hay Elementary dedicated the "John Hay Pathway Garden" which stands as a permanent living memorial to these students and their families.[25] The City of Seattle public park Soundview Terrace was renovated in honor of the 4 Pearson and the 6 Clemetson family members, all Flight 261 victims from the same Seattle neighborhood of Queen Anne. The park's playground was named "Rachel's Playground" in honor of 6 year old Rachel Pearson who lived nearby and often played at the park.[26]
The Alaska Airlines flight 261 crash has appeared in various advance fee fraud ("419"wink email scams. In these scams, a scammer uses the name of someone who died in the crash to lure unsuspecting victims into sending money to the scammer by claiming the crash victim left huge amounts of unclaimed money in a foreign bank account. The names of Morris Thompson and Ronald and Joyce Lake were used in schemes unrelated to them.[27][28]
As of November 2011, Flight 261 no longer exists. The flight route designation for this route is now Flight 221. Alaska Airlines continues to operate the Puerto Vallarta-San Francisco-Seattle/Tacoma route; the airline also operates the Puerto Vallarta-Seattle/Tacoma route nonstop as Flight 203. The airline also retired all of its MD-80s in 2008 and now operates all Boeing 737 aircraft.

To be honest I dont think this guy is after money because he know cash dont just flow around like that in western but I guess all he want is Justice but it would have be so good if he can file the lawsuit here in Nigeria because:

The America company will deny it and proof the worthiness of the plane to fly

The American company do not force the foolish DANA management to buy the plane.

The flight to Lagos that crashed was not the first of the plane

The plane has be in operation for sometime now according to a reliable source.

Is it the American company that signed a contract for the maintenance of the plane? I guess No

Who are are the management of DANA airline American or India or Nigerian? .

So to me I dont see where the American company has a fault because no one can force anyone to buy bad market. The best he can do is to sue DANA and the Nigeria Aviation Industry I think this is where he has case but for the America of a thing i doubt it seriously as per my experience but no one can tell.

WhyAWhy: I really don't understand,
0. Plane designed by manufacturer and engine designed by someoneelse
1. Plane was "born" in the late eighties or very early nineties
2. Plane has exchanged ownership at least twice
3. Plane has been used and age is now telling on it
4. Plane struck by tragedy
5. One man went all the way back to "0" to sue somebody, it probably would have made even little sense to sue the owners in "2."
submission: I will be amazed if he got anything out of this!
are you a lawyer?
Re: Lawsuit Filed In Chicago Over Nigerian Plane Crash by gbadexy(m): 11:18am On Jun 08, 2012
The case sounds funny though, an engine failure for a plane that has been working perfectly for over 20 years is not the manufacturers fault.
Who knows how regular they do engine maintenance and the working condition they subject the plane to.
A
But those oyibos are funny sha, I won't be surprised if the man wins the case.

If u guys doesnt know, what this man is looking for is to make sure dt d investigation report about d crash is made public, thats why he ran to US.The content of d black box must b known this time around unlike b4. The case will later involve NCAA and FAAN who are d major culprit to me and nt even d DANA management.Sm1 gave d plane d pass to fly in NCAA nt Dana. For FAAN,they have to explained what an expired and bad plane was doing flying in 9ja airspace against an establishd rule. Note this guys. Nigeria govt surely must pay for this ineptitude.

Bro, dont mind him. He probably thinks MAN is GOD.

The Dana management claimed, her plane was in good condition before the crash; while some folks in Nigeria claimed it got stacked in the air for 2hrs cos Dame was around.

Another, claimed its due to lack of maintenance bla bla bla! Now, what more can i say as regards to these claims??

It would have been better, he sued God for the death tolls. AFTER ALL, HE SAW IT COMING.

Among those named in the 56-page lawsuit
are Chicago-based Boeing Co., which bought
the McDonnell-Douglas manufacturer of the
plane, and Connecticut-based engine-maker
Pratt & Whitney.

56-pages, I guess dat should be enough to make a "Novel" . Wat could he possibly be writing?

The man suing is just a GREEDY BASTARD, quote me anywhere.

The lawyer is just a vulture, an ambulance chaser that probably called up all the other families he could reach enticed them to sue. This Chukwunonso Allison was just the first greedy guy to fall for it.

Why sue Boeing and Alaska Airways? What role do they have to play in the Dana crash? Why the flaming heck would he sue the estate of the dead pilot, when the pilot from all accounts was a highly experienced fellow who lost his life along with others in unclear circumstances?

ollyruffy: Yes! Some people need to answer series of questions concerning this mishap. From Boeing to NCAA to FAAN to Minister of Aviation to FGN to Dana Airlines etc. The man has decided to sue from the top. So be it.

There are no questions to be answered YET you dolt! When the investigation is done, THEN questions can be asked. Suing right now without any evidence whatsoever is just plain foolish and comes across as a greedy bid for cash for the husband.

Chinom: Mr. Gary Robb, a Kansas City based AVIATION ATTORNEY certainly thinks that Chukwunonso Allison has a case. So all you dimwits here mouthing off over Igboman and money should shut up.

A professional 'ambulance chaser' thinks he has a case and you're surprised?! imbecilic dolt! What do you expect Mr Robb (who probably called up all the family members he could reach to entice 'em to sue) to say?
Some of you astound me with your ignorance of life issues.

This was an entirely different scenario. A full investigation was carried out then and that investigation determined a poorly lubricated screw was the root cause of the issue. Alaska air had extended the time between lubrication of that part, in part based on a recommendation by Boeing. This the cause could be directly traced to Alaska Air and Boeing had to settle too.

That was AFTER a full investigation was carried out...nobody sued before the cause of the crash was ascertained. That is the crucial difference many people here are too brainless to understand.
