Errmm, would someone throw more light on the above subject matter? And not in big english found in google but in layman terms. Wanna learn the stuff.

Linux is an Operating System (OS) like Microsoft Windows is, it comes in different flavours (CentOS, Ubuntu,Fedora etc).
Mostly, Linux systems are used for the purpose of web servers (web servers are software applications running continuously waiting for users to connect so it can serve them website pages)
so techies may refer to (the computer itself OR the software installed on the computer) as server, the discussion context will let you know which they are referring to

A Server administrator is one who is able to control such computers, While some of these computers come with GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces), A good server administrator must be able to manage these computers using SSH, an interface very similar to the windows command line
