9star learn to be your brothers keeper whatever d forum is meant for; sport, romance or what have u, of what benefit is it if it doesnt enhance someeone's life? thats why i bliv the end product should be solution one is not being emotional, but when people share there plight, don't abuse or badmouth them if u don't have solution to profer, just advise and if u don't have any advice, its not compulsory u reply. I don't know who james is, but at least i know he is a human being and fellow nigerian . and if u understood the post very well, he's actually asking if there is wisdom in taking loan, and not asking anybody in the house to give him money nor even lend him money. so let be mindful of how we react to issues nobody prays to hav prob , but we all face challenges and kud be u 2morrow |

Well, many posts before me have already offered useful advice and i think you should take it. You have not been confirmed at your working place, so taking a loan may not be easy, either from your employer or from the bank. but it is not even good living on loans, especially when the loan is not to be invested. Renting an accommodation to live in, is not an investment. Manage for the next few months, then take a room. Do not despise the days of little begining. As you settle down and get your ICAN, your market value will increase and you will get a better job and your standard of living too will improve. Remember, Rome was not built in a day. i agree with earlier posts that N180k is too much to spend on accommodation when you are still struggling to stand. Stand well, and you can get any accommodation you want. All the best. |

9star, You have a right to be heard and you also have the ability to shut up. I think when you don't have anything positive to share option two might be a better way. That is if you know thats the way to go |

All u presently need is a place to lay ur head And probably something close to ur office (to minimise transport cost). So why not try Ebutte-Metta / Somolu, Please opt for a cheaper accomodation, I know peeps that are paying dt 180k for 2 bedroom flat in neighbourhoods like Mile 2, Ogba etc, (which makes 180k a high price for self contained), Please try to cut ur coat according to ur size, I wish u well |

@Poster U have a genuine need but don't think it's really that bad. Try and get a low cost place for a start or better still hold up where u are. Tough times never last, u know. let me give u a professional advice here. Banks are not ready to fund your liabilities. yes. because your accommodation cannot generate wealth and pay back the loan. besides they'll need at least 6mths. payslip from ur current company and 6mths bank statement. and what do you think is going to be ur collateral? Youths always have this erroneous impression in this country that once u get a new job, u'll have to move into a new house, buy a car and all that, so that pple will know u have arrived, instead of building wealth first. If by any means u even get the loan, don't pay a house rent with it. look 4 an investment portfolio and invest that 180k, u'll be surprised at what that money will be in a years time. From ur investment dividends, u can now pay 4 ur liabilities and depreciating assets. See u at the TOP! |

@9star, I pray you dont have problems! If you have anytin bothering your mind you wouldnt mind going to any length to get solutions. Besides you dont know what talking or sharing your problem on a forum like this could do People would look at your situations from different point of views and advise, from there u cn get a lasting solution. I can use myself as an example, I shared mine and found a solution here on nairaland! @James Please dear dont take loan of 180k to get a self contain accomodation It is always advisable to get loan for sth dat would bring profit. Please dont eat your tomorrow 2day go for a room instead for now Then when u stabilise you can change your accomodation |
