D whole exercise usualy last 4 one wk, d ist 4 days starts wit d ind supv n his 5 man team usualy apointd by d state LGA, moving 4rm house to house,iImunizn childrn btw 0-59 mths n finger markn dem n also doin d house markn on d wall of each house visitd. Anoda team at fixd post like d health centre, n specia team at d mkt. Den d ind monitor is divided into 2, d in-proces, n d end-proces. D inproces moni starts on day 2 of d exercise 2 monitor d area dat was coverd by d vacinatn team. She checks 4 finga n house markn to prove dat d area was realy coverd. D end proces is jst 4 2 days, day 6 n 7.
Each vial is supz 2 imunize 20 children wit 2 drops each. Each team is usualy given 15 vials 2 inunize 300 children daily in each ward. D sad part is dat at d end of d day, d team can jst use 6 vials, trow d remaini 9 away n tally 300 on their sheet. Dats on d part of d team, on d part of d parents, some wil nt alow u to vacinate d child because d husband myt nt consent to it, or dey wil say dia religion 4bids it or no felt need.
It is only in d north u av 2 give d children sweets n their parents bathn soap b4 dey wil alow u to imuniz dia children. An infected child is capable of infectn 200 children.
In conclusion, d exercise over d years has nt yield any meaning fruit. May GOD bless agencies patnering wt fed govt n WHO in tryn to eradicate poliomyelitis especialy in d north, but to b candid, it can neva b eradicatd.
