My friend blackberry was stolen in Karu Orphanage home, Abuja in May this year, it was Torch 9800. I still had her contact on my own Blackberry, so I keep pinging each day to see if someone would start using it. Then sometimes this June, there was a reply to my ping and I quickly add the person. He suddenly ask me if I had known him before and I said no, but that, I just purchased my BB from its owner and I saw his PIN and so I added him. So from then on, he was on my contact. When I enquire from my friend if she had added him too, she said she has, and that the moment she accused him that the BB belongs to her, he deleted her instantly. So we both agreed that I continue to keep him as contact to see if I can get some info from him. So, I keep saving his dp pics and that of his girlfriend and some friends too.
Today, I decided I should come out open to him that the BB wasnt his, and I started by asking him to give me his email address so i can forward a MS word document to him, the next thing, the guy just deleted me straight. Unknown to him, I have saved the BB barcode on my BB, so I have the BB PIN.
The pin of the BB is 27CFB06B. Add him and when he added you back, tell him the BB is a stolen one, the next thing is that he will delete you straight.
Now, I have his picture, and that of his girlfriend picture and some friends. I intend to go public with the picture on twitter, facebook and on nairaland and any other places online. I also known he resides in Kaduna.
The question is, should i go ahead and make his picture public?

Also, his name is probably SADIQ, or DODOS, as those two names had appeared on his Blackberry DP.

If he wasnt the one who stole it, how come he deleted my friend instantly the moment she accused him the phone was hers. How come he also deleted me instantly when I was asking him for his email address? When I added him, he claimed he stays in Kaduna, I later believed him because during the curfew in Kaduna, I saw it on his dp that the curfew is biting hard on him. How come he now said he is in Ikeja?
From what transpired so far, I believed he knew he bought a stolen phone, because if I were in his shoe and I bought a fairly used phone, the moment someone accused me the phone is his/hers, I will explain to the person.
The question still remain, should I embarass him and publish his picture, that of his girlfriend and his friends on the internet?

Paste the picture if you are very sure the BB is stolen if not very sure you be prepared for any consequence .
That's my own advice.

Frm the bbm conversation posted above, its obvious the guy has a lot to hide. He tried as much as possible to deviate frm the truth.
I can assure you that he didn't buy that phone frm computer village. If he buys it 'fairly used', as claimed, then he know the seller (or the source).
I will advise you track him down. Use GPS, anything, and follow the movement of the phone. Alternatively, disguise that you are a lady and try to 'date' him by romantically playing along. It works.
And if all else fails, block the phone completely. It's possible. Let's all work to rid Nigeria of petty thieves.

I am not the owner of the phone, I can only ask the owner to call ur number. But the truth is, is he willing to return the phone to the owner? And if u guys read my first post, I said my friend was at an orphanage home when the phone was stolen. Does that tells u anything? There are some people that their phone can't be stolen, she is one. Prevail on the guy to count his loss and return the phone. Next time, he shld buy fairly used phone from original source with receipt they used to buy it especially blackberry.

Yeah, my friend told me she had contacted him. From their discussion, apparently he doesn't give a damn if his pictures are made public. This will be a lesson to those who used to buy fairly used phones not from original owner or purchased receipts. Doing that is deliberately aiding phone thief. As for me, no BB thief will own to his crime and I believed this guy whose picture is below stole my friend BB, it is only face saving that he bought it fairly used. here is first picture, more to follow

The pin of the BB is 27CFB06B. Add him and when he added you back, tell him the BB is a stolen one, the next thing is that he will delete you straight.
Now, I have his picture, and that of his girlfriend picture and some friends. I intend to go public with the picture on twitter, facebook and on nairaland and any other places online. I also known he resides in Kaduna.

Trust me, the phone belongs to my friend. If the above pics is not his own, how come they are on his dp? If they are on his dp, why did he put them there? Was it because he knew the BB was stolen and doesnt want to put his own picture? For that, I will post all the picture I munched from his dp, including those of relatives, friends and his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, he was chatting with my friend the BB owner yesterday, begging her to prevailed on me not to publish the other pictures and that, he will have the phone sent to her.
