I'm not an avid watcher of Yoruba movies. Infact, I have only managed to watch two of them this year, "Figurine" and "Jenifa 3". One thing I've noticed is that the Yoruba movie cinematography is on a class of its own. The storylines are more original, the casting, effects and scenery are gradually being subjected the world movie standard. For example, I was surprised that Kunle Afolayan hired a fire-tanker to create a rain scene in Figurine. I hope I'm not wrong if I say the scope, creativity, research content and originality in Yoruba movies are far higher than is obtainable in the English (Idumota/Alaba) Nigerian movie versions. By the way, Queensmith, can you help me confirm if this Yoruba movie "Aiye Titun" is in the market? I saw the advert and I was very impressed with the look-alike 1960's scenery. Thanks!
