Security agents on Monday discovered the bodies of nine construction workers, with their throats slit, in Maiduguri, the troubled capital of Borno State.
No one claimed responsibilityfor the attack and the army did not say who was to blame, Reuters reports.
Soldiers found the nine bodies in a construction workers’ compound in the city’s Bolori area at around 7 a.m, spokesman of the Joint Task Force on Operation Restore Order, Col. Sagir Musa, said.
A nurse at a local hospital told Reuters 10 bodies were brought in on Monday morning.
There has also been an increase in killings by armed criminal gangs, taking advantage of the unrest in Northern Nigeria to settle scores.

It's a big shame on the JTF that killings like this one keep occurring during curfew hours in Maiduguri.And for the doubting Thomas here, obviously the culprits are not in doubt,get better details below;

Suspected militants of Nigeria's radical group Boko Haram have killed nine construction workers in the country's northern city of Maiduguri, the anti-terrorism military unit said.

The nine workers were working at the Shehu of Borno Central Mosque when they were attacked by suspected members of the sect early yesterday, Lt Col Sagir Musa, spokesman of Joint Task Force (JTF) said in a statement.

Musa said that when the JTF troops rushed to the area they saw the dead bodies, which they then deposited at the mortuary of the Borno State Specialist Hospital.

No arrest has yet been made, even as efforts to apprehend the culprits have been intensified.

The sect which detests Western education, plans to establish an Islamic caliphate independent of the Nigerian state.

It has killed hundreds of people in suicide attacks, bombings and drive-by shootings in northern Nigeria since it started insurgency in 2009.

I firmly believe the blood thirsty men that made most of the boko haram ranks are mostly from chad and niger;the FG should tighten security seriously on nigeria's northern border to prevent terrorists from freely entering and leaving nigeria.
This will go a long way in forstalling arms and madmen who's only mission is to see other people die.
The JTF should intesify their patrols and wage open war against these idiots who think they can break this country,they failed already.
FG should also have the CBN take a closer look at bank transactions and sanction suspicious transfers meant to fuel the machineries of these cold blooded murderers.
