With all the election malpractice and nullification's that we are seeing.

Do you think it's time for the chairman of the electoral commission to step aside for a job well done? Bad job?

He should have resigned long time ago.
I do not think he has any sense of honour
He is still rationalising failure, incompetence and corruption
He was a lapdog for PDP
Sorry case of a professor
His sorry a s s should be kicked out now!

If he had any shred of integrity or honour he would have resigned as far back as june but alas that is asking for too much from the "learned" prof. He has no place overseeing an electoral body in the same way he has no place sermonising about what is good or bad in the polity in any future fora.

why will Iwu resign? has he done anything bad? how many ministers or other political office holders in the last eight years resigned their position for incompetence?
the problem with our war on corruption is the idea of leaving objects for shadows. Borrishade was the education minister who was known for messing up the educational system but when the heat was much, obj decided to shift him to the aviation ministry instead of sending him off but as he is a child of doom, he recorded the highest number of airmisharps as if that was not enough for him to resign, he was later shifted to the ministry of culture whatever so it is obvious nobody performed bad enough arround obj to resign.
if iwu must resign, it means he performed bad then his products which include yar adua will be deported.
if we want to examine the ability of iwu, we have to first of all trace his appointment. by who and for what?
if the one who called him is satisfied with his work, then nigerians expect explainations from obj on the responsibilities of the so called prof.Iwu.
to me, the man never acted in his capacity as a professor, rather he acted as a loyalist and a paid labourer of which he blew and is still blowing his trumpet in accordiance with the dictates of the man who paid him.
if we want to be straight in our ways, iwu is not the problem rather obj otherwise if this iwu resigns today, ten iwus will emerge in his place and all in all, they are shadows and qualified rubber stamps.
iwu's seat tight issue is another way of showing how selective our war on corruption has been.
how many state govs have been removed via the tribunal and how many inec officials are standing trials at least to show that they aided rigging or influenced the elections with their positions?
as long as the idea of remove one iwu introduce ten iwus continues, we will remain where we are on corruption industry.

@chidichris
Its all the reasons you have given that breed 10 Iwus
We either want to fight corruption or we don't.
When we start talking about "selective justice"
Can you pls tell me which one of the ones selectively caught, that is not corrupt?

Because Gov A or Minister B has not been caught, should that give Chairman C the justification to be corrupt & incompetent?
May be what we need is to execute all indicted corrupt public officers, then this askew argument of selective nonsense will stop!
