Arsenal captain Robin van Persie has rejected Arsenal's contract offer, and looks set to leave the club.

The star striker announced the news on his official website, citing a disagreement over the future direction of the club as his main reason for declining the contract extension.

I dont blame him at all... who wants to continue playing for 4th place with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott? Look at Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy... they left and won major trophies within 1 season. Van Persie isnt young anymore... these players want to win before they retire. Go dude... those of us who support you will continue to do so. Too bad we are stuck supporting a team that has laughably become a feeder club for more serious and ambitious clubs.
