It used to be Aba but right now, I think it comes behind Otta.

1.Otta

2.Aba

3.Agbara

4.Nnewi

The above is for industrialized. For commercial it is Onitsha followed by Aba. Warri and Bonny are important oil export and production hubs which out-classes Aba and Onitsha in wealth but they are not commercialized enough outside oil. Sapele, Eket and some other monotonous commercial or industrial towns also exist.

Onitsha is second to none.

Geomac: Sango Ota & Agbara are leading

You made a good point/observation since Ogun is fast becoming the next Lagos. But do Agbara and Sango Ota qualifies as cities? I think they are just towns.

Exactly! and until our government realizes d potentials of Igbo people, industrialization and change as we saw in the Asian tigers may remain a mirage.

Re: The Most Commercialized/industrialized Non-capital Cities In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:41pm On Jul 14, 2012
City
- A large town.
- The financial and commercial district of London, England.

Town
- An urban area that has a name, defined boundaries, and local government, and that is larger than a village and generally smaller than a city.

If we are to go by the English definition of what a city is, then the following should be the most commercialized/industrialized:

- Lagos Island/Ikoyi/Obalende.
- Victoria Island/Lekki/Ajah.
- Sango Ota (Far bigger than both Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode).
- Aba.
- Ikorodu.
- Onitsha.
- Warri.

The OP original post looks funny.
*in United States a good number of developed cities are non_state capital eg Lose Angelese, Chicago, las Vegas, Hollywood, Detriots,Houstin, Miami, San Fransisco*
Apart from Hollywood, d other names r state capitals na. Hollywood is not even commercialised or industrialised sef, just a residential suburb. Just like the second poster wrote; he should go back to school.

I tire for this bias thread oh. Why is onitsha conspicuously missing here? Its onitsha and others. Aba is commercial but not even industrialized as nnewi. Onitsha is both industrialized and commercial. Onitsha takes all the cake. meanwhile you guys should continue naming dead villages here (especially the sweet people) and continue turning the thread to a joke it has become. ogbomosho indeed

Otta is industrialized but not commercial. it just took advantage of its nearness to Lagos.
