I knew this day would come – News reaching us at Technology-Africa.com is that a Nigerian Group, Optima Media Group , producers of Nigerian Idol might have acquired the franchise to host a version of the popular reality show BGT – Britain’s Got Talent which will be called Nigeria’s Got Talent.

In a recent press briefing, organisers of the reality show announced their partnership with popular telecommunications company Airtel as well as introducing to the general public the show. The debut season of the reality show will run from July to December 2012 whilst auditions will kick-off from the 4th of July 2012. Apart from being a source of major entertainment, it gives an opportunity to talented amateurs or unknown performers, with the results being decided by an audience vote.

The “Got Talent” show is a British TV format owned by Simon Cowell’s SYCOtv Company and has viewership in over 39 countries including America, India, Australia and now Nigeria.

I love entertainment, but not the way foreign multinationals except cowbell mathematics thing are using it to distract our kids and subtly telling them that if they cannot entertain, then they have no talent. Our kid are buying into it.They all want to be P-square or Tupac. They don't want to be Bill gate or Philip Emeagwali.

This is happening to African American Kids and African all over the world. Its a bad developement. The white owned multinationals are using entertainment reality shows to distract Africans from thinking about how to manufacture. They will never do a TV show on manufacturing so that they will continue to be wealthier, stronger, healthier and better all round.

Africans please be wise and liberate yourself from mental slavery just like the Asians. We have slaved in this world for too long.Let us read ,think,be wise and smart.

The late Bob Marleys regea songs was all about urging us to LIBERATE OUR SELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY
