Let your electrician check any of those. But most importantly scan the car

My own gets 100km on 16litres. Lexus es 300, 3.0 v6 engine.

It's strange you don't have check engine light but start by analyzing your fuel trims then do a compression test on your cylinders

You are very very right with this. I used this c200 for over 2months.

Walai, fuel doesn't reduce no matter how far you drive.

It was doing at worst 10km/litre of fuel.

I just switched to c240 v6 and I'm crying blood.

Its doing like 5km/litre at best.

I miss the c200 only for its fuel economy.

I only used the c200 for 2months.

It's obviously more fuel economical that the c240 and other engines.




Also, easier to service with less amount of spark plugs and engine oil.


However the engine isn't as strong/durable as the c240(m112 engine).

The turbo attached to the compressors have lifespans.


But overall, it's currently easier to see the parts and mechanics for these c-class series than it was couple of years back.

You just have to be more concerned with the electrical-side and sensor side of the the vehicle than with the mechanical side of it.

Lastly, I later realised that the c240 isn't meant to be as bad as it was in terms of fuel economy.

Had other issues with oxygen sensor and bad spark plugs.

I encountered similar c240 that had much better fuel economy.

My rover 200 consumes about 5-5.5 liters of benzin/petrol for every 100km.

My Avensis 2010 is making 11.1L/100km

nice topic the result of this will let u know how to budget and use your fuel, it would also let you know the best gas station in your area as we know some of them dispense fuel dat burns faster. in my car theres a button to tap to make the kilometer reading turn to 0000 then it starts reading so when u get to a point when u think ur car need refill u now check how far it has gone. my would consume 1ltr per 10km now it consumes 1ltr in 7km which makes it certain that theres a fault. so knowing this makes u know a lot more. besides i use a honda concerto

Mine can take me for 50km on 10 litres.

Yes, I have even been so worried.

But I got a Rewire to service the Carburettor and change the mass air sensor last week Friday. Since then, I have been watching the car fuel consumption.

Chevy malibu 2013 2.0 NA 4plugs. (9-11L/100km city drive/ 7-9L/100km highway, speed 80-100km/hr. 100km/hr. above = 13-15 highway. I get between 500-600kms before refueling 65litres fuel tank.
