Gov. Yuguda Fires 6,000 Political Appointees by wurajone(f): 8:22am On Jul 17, 2012
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Dandij.

The statement reads: “following complaints by stakeholders that the majority of political appointments made by the state government are not only lopsided but don’t reflect the structure of the ruling party at state, local government and ward levels, Governor Isa Yuguda has approved a review of these appointments with immediate effect in order to pave way for the review.

“Director Generals, Senior Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistant II, Special Assistant and special assistant II are hereby disengaged with immediate effect.”

The statement however, said the appointees whose services are essential are not affected by the disengagement. They include those on essential services and political appointees attached to the governor and his deputy.

It said “fresh political appointments would be made shortly when the review is concluded”.

Am I seeing double ? someone tell me this is not true. Is this how Northern Governors "develop" the North ? No wonder they keep crying of "marginalization"; The allocation isnt going round.

How can just one state have 6000 political appointees (not workers)! By the way there was no mention in the article that the total number of these appointees are 6000, how does the OP arrives at this figure?

This is very evident wit these hausa pple, 6000 advisers, & 6 first ladies, these 6000 pple are fronts through which they use to siphon funds meant for their impoverished almajiris and uneducated majority, instead they use the pple to raise,form,& private armies, such as kalakato,derica,&boko haram, this governor is some1 who has been suspectd to sponsor, various islamic sects, when they hav finished lavishn the funds by marryn numerous underage girls and destroyn their lives wit VVF, after grandeuse weedn ceremonies, they come bak to talk about revenue sharing formula, as well as base their greedy sponsorship of terrorism on unequal distribution of resources.

Some of these useless governors will always cry fowl at times. Money meant for development of state is being used to pay chains of political house boys. Maybe he needs more federal allocation
