Anenih: From A Godfather To A Minor by vowiski(m): 3:14pm On Jul 18, 2012
Three days before the Governorship election in Edo State, Chief Tony Anenih made a prediction for the election outcome in the State, insisting that it was going to be an easy ride for the PDP, just the way he had done it in the past; dictating the pace, calling the shots, dividing the lines, apportioning shares to those who wished to be anything in the political spheres in Edo State.

Anenih is not used to a life in the opposition camp which he had endured for four years, by virtue of a court verdict which sacked the former hand-picked governor Prof. Osubor from office, thus paving way for Adams Oshiomole to become the duly elected governor in the state. Mr. Fix, as the Godfather is usually addressed, because of his uncanny ability to deliver on difficult assignments was determined to turn the tides around and return power to the PDP because another four years sidelined in the opposition would only mean hell.

Mr. Fix had put everything in place, General Charles Airhiavbere was the perfect tool that would eject Oshiomhole from office. It was going to be an easy task; Anenih had dreamt of a easy victory, his statement at the PDP campaign rally in Okada proves the prescript right. Oshiomhole “lacks the capacity to remain governor” The godfather echoed at the rally. He continued: “ it is true that the governor of Edo State is from the Northern Senatorial District. When you have children, you give them responsibility, but Oshiomhole can’t’ carry any responsibility. We have a candidate who will deliver health care and quality education. The words of elders are words of wisdom. Edo cannot be left out in the Southsouth which is controlled by the PDP”.
